An interesting western that covers the period after the Little Big Horn. Scott plays an officer leading a mission to reclaim the bodies of Custer and his officers.
It hasnt really dated well in the years since shooting. Scotts slavish devotion to the dead Custer seems absurd these days.
The criticism of Reno and Benteen seems misplaced and this unbalances the film a bit, Having said that the script gives them the best lines.
But its still a good watch due to Scotts star quality.
