What bothers me the most is the double standards.

The most clear example is the Daniel Penny case. He had the book thrown at him, and one would have to wonder if the same would have been the case had Penny been black.

We didn’t have to wonder long. A month after, a black guy stabbed a threatening black guy in the subway - to death. The case was worse in two ways: 1) the killer INTENTIONALLY stabbed the victim to death, and 2) he tried to flee, whereas Penny remained on scene, but the cops caught him up the line.

So a deliberate murder….and fleeing the scene. Outcome? The same NY who threw the book at the white Penny let the black guy off without even being charged. No trial. Free.
