nothing that i know of....when he made his first appearance in Anaheim this year a reporter said he told him the angels never made an offer....they have bad management and the owner aint to popular either...,I know he got a $700 million dollar contract with the Dodgers but I never heard what the Angels got?
Honestly, I get it for a somewhat smaller market team. The guy gets injured. Then you've got a field Full of replacement level players.nothing that i know of....when he made his first appearance in Anaheim this year a reporter said he told him the angels never made an offer....they have bad management and the owner aint to popular either...,
Remember that the Dbacks went to the World Series last year, and the Padres will fold like a cheap suitcase against this Dodgers team. The GOAT #17 is amazing.
Dodgers will win the West. Only 10 or 11 games left in less than 2 weeks. They play a 3-game series at home against the Padres next week and still ahead by 3.5 games.
Maybe in a weird way they wanted to help Ohtani's career and not end up like Trout?nothing that i know of....when he made his first appearance in Anaheim this year a reporter said he told him the angels never made an offer....they have bad management and the owner aint to popular either...,
when he left 1/3 of their offense went with him....when Trout went down there went another third.....Honestly, I get it for a somewhat smaller market team. The guy gets injured. Then you've got a field Full of replacement level players.
lol....that aint it...they just suck....Ohtani may not pitch again....Maybe in a weird way they wanted to help Ohtani's career and not end up like Trout?
i dont see how they figured that out,the guy has 50 homers and 120 plus RBI's....that beats a lot of bonds single season numbers....I saw today that Ohtani is having Bonds's 11th best offensive season.

Easy, by oWAR.i dont see how they figured that out,the guy has 50 homers and 120 plus RBI's....that beats a lot of bonds single season numbers....
the baseball reference guide was asked what is the best measure of how good a player is... they said their "experts" say its a combination of OPS and OPS+....which they said these numbers tell you how good a season they are having and the other tells you how they match up against the league and other players....thats what they go by anyway...Easy, by oWAR.
That of course is not fully true and is limited.the baseball reference guide was asked what is the best measure of how good a player is... they said their "experts" say its a combination of OPS and OPS+....which they said these numbers tell you how good a season they are having and the other tells you how they match up against the league and other players....thats what they go by anyway...
BTW,.if you go by OPS, Ohtani is having Bonds's 14TH BEST season.the baseball reference guide was asked what is the best measure of how good a player is... they said their "experts" say its a combination of OPS and OPS+....which they said these numbers tell you how good a season they are having and the other tells you how they match up against the league and other players....thats what they go by anyway...
How many great offensive seasons did Bonds have without being juiced to the max? He went from a skinny kid to body builder size, he didn't even look like the same person.I saw today that Ohtani is having Bonds's 11th best offensive season.

Probably most of them. How many great offensive seasons did Bonds have without being juiced to the max? He went from a skinny kid to body builder size, he didn't even look like the same person.
you have to have a certain amount of games played and a certain amount of at bats to be on any top 10 lists....That of course is not fully true and is limited.
One guy has a higher OPS, but plays fewer games? Not as valuable, possibly.
That's why WAR exists.
ruth pitched only in the dead ball era when he hit occasionally until 1919....after 1920 he never pitched again.....The reincarnation of Babe Ruth.
Yes, 3.1 PAs per scheduled game.you have to have a certain amount of games played and a certain amount of at bats to be on any top 10 lists....
