Trump administration fires over 400 DHS employees as mass firings continue

The Trump administration on Friday moved to fire more than 400 employees at the Department of Homeland Security, the latest effort in a government-wide campaign to dramatically reduce the federal workforce.

Officials at DHS said they had fired hundreds of employees across several of its agencies after supervisors identified "non-mission critical personnel in probationary status"

So, all of a sudden.....we TRUST the media..... just like that.... <facepalm>

Somebody means business

I sure hope so, but....
There's a saying that goes "If it sounds too good to be true...."

Anyone have any proof this is taking place (outside the MSM reports)?
ANYONE ????
How about the border. Anyone been close enough to see for themselves that we've stopped the flow?
I'm certainly NOT gonna magically start trusting the MSM just because they're saying what I WANT to hear or show a few photos that I like.

The federal government has been ( restructured) cleansed in the past by various administrations, for various reasons. Never has it been done by the department heads themselves voluntarily, their goal has always been to increase their budget and therefore influence. The correct way to do this would be an honest budgeting process, which would reward heads for efficiency and responsibility, but forever it has been ass backwards, and automatically tacks on 10 to 20% increases to address the money hemorrhaging from their departments and address failures to perform. Some departments do not even have to audit or a poor audit is ignored, all you have to do is look at the postal service. You increase personnel or decrease them by attrition, not refilling vacancies as needed to remain competent. The whole system is not responsive to anyone, and has been for a long time, that is why it is drawing so much hysterical reaction, we are addicted to easy money. The Peter Principle, advance your least effective people. This snowball can't last much longer, and it will cause some real discomfort if we wish to continue facing the monster we've created. "non-mission critical personnel in probationary status"......Those would most likely be those leftists that the FJB admin. (or whoever was running it) tried to embed in the agencies in the last months of the administration.

The Halfrican did the same to great effect before Trump's first term started and Trump paid the price.

All agencies need to be purged of probationary employees (hired during the FJB admin) who are not in border related enforcement roles.

Trump won't be fooled again. ;)

I'm thinking the IRS is getting the firings started soon....
Those will be in the thousands.

No different from anything that Bill Clinton did.

The Admin is wanting a balanced budget. I think he will get one. Especially with all of the audits and trimming going on.

These people receive departure notices generally have up to 9 months of pay left to go.
It's 9 months for them to continue paying their bills while they are looking around for the next job which may very well be in government.

I doubt there is a lot of fat to trim at the IRS. Trump basically just fired people who had yet to be hired under the Biden scheme.

Anyway, he is not going to balance the budget off the current plan. He isn't even going to cut enough to offset making his tax cuts permanent. It is why they still want a $4T increase in the debt ceiling.
