No one would ever deny Americans are exceptional. This thread demonstrates their exception from reality with nearly every post.

I cannot think of anything we can do to make America more appealing to young women, and maybe we shouldn't be trying to appease one segment of our population over any other. There are some who would favor abortion rights for instance, but I think that is not an issue for the federal gov't to decide. Leaving it to the individual states appears to be the right way to go. Or the equal pay issue where women make considerably less than men who are doing the same thing. Fair enough, but are there not other factors in that issue that tilt the pay difference somewhat? We do have laws against discrimination and women can sue for maltreatment, but it's not like the federal gov't can pass laws requiring equal pay that could be fairly enforced. Would the increase in litigation become a problem? Could be, and I suspect the impact on the economy might be substantial if employers have to deal with greater legal liability on top of everything else.

In all honesty, there is a lot not to like about this country as it is today, for young females and everybody else. But there's also more to like about this country over any other, and maybe some people should consider moving to another state over another country.

Well, I certainly cannot disagree with the idea there are some stark differences in opinions, but there are times in our past where we have managed to find better ways to move forward. I also think that if we push what you are saying more effectively, and help people understand that kicking everything to the Federal Government and pretending they can be satisfied with a track record of abysmal failure over the last few decades in providing us with anything other than what we currently have is ever going to help, is just a futile exercise and fruitless folly.

So, if we understand all the crap, and we understand what we have failed to accomplish, how in the hell would anyone think that continuing to have no better solution than finding the best way to **** with each other is the most appropriate answer?

We need to seize our power back as the people, bring things back as close to our communities, homes, and lives as we can get them, and stop looking for the government to fix everything or the establishment to actually give a shit. It's about taking responsibility for what is on the table in front of us, accepting our failures, and not being comfortable with it or simply blaming someone else.

It's not going to be easy, it is going to take more effort from all of us to fix this shit, and it's going to cost us all something more, or we most certainly stand to lose it.
