It took $1,750,000,000 of the $7,500,000,000 signed by Biden to put 400 Level 2EV charging stations at a per station cost of $4,375,000.
As of late 2025, approximately 400 EV charging ports have been built under the $7.5 billion U.S. federal infrastructure programs, according to reports from the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The number of operational charging stations is around 68 across 16 states.

The GAO noted that Trump wants Congress to rescind $6 billion in unspent EV charging funding.

A Level 2 EV station costs typically range from $800 to $7,000+ for the unit and installation or 62,500% less than the Federal government cost of $4,375,000!

Remember Biden's guarantee!

Also, those of you Trump haters.... you won't accept the facts that
The highest U.S. inflation in the last 20 years occurred in 2022, peaking around June/July with annual rates reaching over 9%
As a result of Biden's guarantee to rid fossil fuels the oil companies said..."we better get it while we can"!
Hence this fact!
The highest gas prices in the last 20 years occurred in June 2022, when the national average peaked around $5.10 per gallon (or even higher in some areas), breaking records set in July 2008 (around $4.11-$4.17) and 2012 (around $3.62-$3.97),
Again thanks to Biden's "guarantee"!!!

The entire EV scam is unraveling.

The industry is years away from actual feasibility

The market should decide.

**** GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES FOR ANYTHING.

Maybe David Yurman watches should be subsidized so everyone can get one.

The market is deciding once subsidies dried up

Government should not pay for charging stations.

My father and brother both have Teslas, and love them. but the government is not why they chose to buy Teslas.

I agree. But I'll say if anyone decides to buy an EV they shouldn't expect taxpayers to fund it.

Nearby we have an EV "charging station" I rarely see anyone charging and asked the clerk about it. He told me they haven't worked for months.

How much went into something that doesn't deliver?

They both mostly charge them at home and use them for local driving. Both use gas cars for long trips.

I agree with no government involvement.

PLUS by guaranteeing to "rid fossil fuels" Biden ALSO stopped explorations on federal lands!

Offshore Drilling Ban: In one of his final acts in office in January 2025, Biden used executive authority to permanently withdraw over 625 million acres of federal waters from future oil and gas leasing.
Part of his "guarantee"!!!

When teenage girls think the word is ending and they are empowered more than people with experience in life, you know the nation is living on borrowed time. Joe is a consummate habitual liar who seamlessly has moved his views in most agendas and convinces his voters of his allegiance to the current agenda. To you African Americans. His crime legislation has you in jail.

Put up expensive charging stations only for some Crack head to steal the copper and render it useless.
An EV is a disposable car as no one is going to buy one with 150,000 miles with a depleted battery that can cost up to 15 grand to replace.

I doubt an EV could ever reach 150k miles

I am curious, should the government be paying for this? These charging stations will be operated by private companies, but bought by the government. Its like the government installing cable lines around the country, but given to private cable companies to operate.

Isn't this an example of the government hindering competition?

Thankfully, Trump rescinded this offshore drilling ban shortly after taking office.
