3 officers fired and the audio released on new police chief's FIRST DAY on the job.

so the police officers said stuff--but blacks are MURDERING whites

There's nothing wrong with a Zero Tolerance policy about racist remarks from Officers on duty.. SHOULDN"T be an "Internal Review"... Should be public...

Any small pattern of this happening should be grounds for dismissal... Union or no union...
Totally disagree. Nothing good comes from a public release of a couple of Racist Cops talking shit. Except of course for the career of Mr. Williams.

That's the whole problem is "internal affairs reviews" that are not accessible to the public... That's how cops with 17 excessive force complaints against them end up KILLING someone and causing a national nightmare...
So have your internal review and fire them. Just don't make a national spectacle out of it to make things worse for all Cops while promoting yourself to the national stage.
and not even mentioning the MANY times blacks MURDER/etc whites

so the police officers said stuff--but blacks are MURDERING whites
Another example. The Tucson Az Mayor fired three officers a couple days ago because a young drug addict with enough cocaine in him to kill a horse died in their "custody". No force was used, the guy was naked and completely out of his mind. So who wants to be a Cop? Anyone? Anyone at all? Bueller?
I heard about that. The cause of death was acute cocaine poisoning. Police will stop making arrests.
There was a vigil last night and the sobbing Mother said into the microphone "The police killed my son!" I've just had it with all this shit.

You know LOTS of people deny racism exists in the U.S. Although as we can see, even when they are shown examples of blatent racism, they still deny that it exists.

Do you know how frustrating it is to know that someone is a racist and engaging in discriminatory and prohibited behavior yet only to be told that you can't prove it? Well this is proof and if indeed they review the cases that these officers worked on and find that it's possible that their work was guided by racial animosity or discrimination, then perhaps those individuals deserve new trials.

If you can't trust a police officer to tell the truth, it taints everything he does in his job including testifying in court.

They dont ever GET fired.. Because the Unions have pull with Chief and internal affairs AND the city leadership... When this is kept "secret", there IS NO OVERSIGHT to the process. Heard Bernie Kerak say that 98% of complaint reviews had NO actions. Public knowledge of the process is REQUIRED.. Not neccessarily "civilian review boards".. That becomes a mess because hot-headed activists from BOTH sides end up trying to be voices of reason..

The guy who murdered George Floyd had 15 or 17 prior "excessive force" complaints.. We only KNOW THAT because it leaked.., We should KNOW THAT every time something horrendous happens and WHO DID NOT take actions...

Totally with ya on this part... It's a matter of bringing discipline and integrity to the job.. Atlanta force is something like 65% black and yet the rank/file don't "rat out" the small number of "loose cannons".. And I imagine in terms of discipline and integrity --- there are problem officers in both racial components of the force...

Here's we diverge on things.. Their IS a systemic issue with policing and justice as a whole.., It's LOCAL and not national. And more importantly is NOT predominately racial... Not gonna get into detail here, but having black heavy city council/mayor, police dept, OR police CHIEF -- does not improve this systemic LOCAL problem..

The whole JUSTICE INTERFACE is more a failure of govt than it is racial.. These cities operate as tho economic disparities don't matter when you get fined or have a warrant in your name, or try to pay off your fine with money thru the mail that is RETURNED to you and you are issued a summons.. So that broken tail-light escalates into unfriendly encounters with the police and the courts..

It's just LOUSY damn "customer service" in ANY INTERACTION with the justice system.. From the IMPOUND yard to bail hearings and beyond..

Dont forget there are MORE WHITE VICTIMS of this failure to govern.. Even unarmed WHITES killed by police or whites who are on the edge of economic doom kicked over the edge by a justice system that doesn't WORK with the poor to avoid escalating the simpler tickets, fines, charges...

You do NOT NEED a trial.. This is a "terms of employment" issue.. There are about 12 Million citizens with security clearances that are subject to SEVERE restrictions on their personal ethics and behavior that can LOSE those clearances (and subsequently their jobs) if they are NOT HONEST with their Security Officers.. WITHOUT TRIAL... No diff here in a public trust job that allows lethal force as an option,.. In FACT -- it MIGHT be more important...

The real problem was the leaders above Policemen men Chauvin, who should have fired him long ago, now confidence in effective police patrol takes a nosedive, because a man was killed by someone who was clearly incompetent from day one.

This means the police leaders failed to do their jobs properly, end result, they now have bullseyes on their uniforms. Now ALL of them needs to be fired as well for their negligence in their shoddy handling of the police force.

It appears Mr. Williams wanted to jump straight into the political arena on his first day on the job. Forget internal review, let's just release the incendiary audio tape to the world and make a name for yourself. He could have fired the officers without making a national spectacle and throwing gasoline on an already raging fire. There are a whole lot of political climbers jumping on the BLM train and this chief is one of them.
So you’re objecting to a police chief publicizing actions that address the issues people are screaming in the streets about and would have preferred he kept it quiet? Care to explain that logic further?
Sure. People are screaming in the streets because they have been emotionally hijacked by an unwarranted police action that resulted in a man dying on camera. The Media and Black Lives Matter immediately seized on this awful video and have created what they wanted. Chaos. All that releasing this audio will do is further vilify ALL police which is the last thing we need right now. We all know that there are bad actors but most Cops are good men who are being dragged through the mud every hour of every day.
They’ve been trying to draw attention to these issues for years that why there is BLM movement to begin with... so of course when a shining example of the injustices they have been complaining about comes out they jump on it. Change doesn’t happen over night. The Civil rights movement took decades of bloodshed

Let's get REAL here. I'm not buying the idea that this needs to be solved BECAUSE it's all racial... It's got SYSTEMIC ROOTS in how the oversight of policing is DONE.. EVEN IN a lot of black dominated city governments...

Dare you to open your mind here and UNDERSTAND this is a fundamental ISSUE for ALL of us...

Took THREE FUCKING YEARS to even GET the bodycam footage pried out of the police dept in Dallas.. Where 3 officers SUFFOCATED TO DEATH a WHITE man and were making jokes about it ON SCENE and ON CAMERA...

No NATIONAL looting/pillaging/protesting... But the SAME damn deal in 2017...

Tony Timpa wailed and pleaded for help more than 30 times as Dallas police officers pinned his shoulders, knees and neck to the ground.

“You’re gonna kill me! You’re gonna kill me! You’re gonna kill me!”

After Timpa fell unconscious, the officers who had him in handcuffs assumed he was asleep and didn’t confirm that he was breathing or feel for a pulse.

Body camera footage obtained Tuesday by The Dallas Morning News shows first responders waited at least four minutes after Timpa became unresponsive to begin CPR. His nose was buried in the grass while officers claimed to hear him snoring -- apparently unaware that the unarmed man was drawing his last breaths.

Make SURE YOU WATCH the VIDEO and then we can ALL AGREE to ACTUALLY FIX THIS TOGETHER !!!!

That seems to be how this New World Order rolls. If you say the wrong thing in a PRIVATE CONVERSATION just talking shit or venting.....doesn't matter. You're done. You don't even get to make a statement in your defense. Career over, tossed to the curb. That seems to make you happy. It doesn't make me happy.

Police reform is coming and that's a good thing. I would like to see specific language on severely limiting random stops, something I haven't seen in the legislation. I don't like seeing anyone destroyed because of a random statement made in private no matter how stupid or "Racist" it sounds. Besides that, we are creating an environment where virtually no one will want to be a police officer. I'm thankful my sons didn't go that route.

Worse, I could be wrong but it seems that an awful lot of cities where all this rioting and police violence is going on protracted are run by women mayors. Coincidence?

You're not even TRYING to get past the racial bias here to understand that the SYSTEMS for policing and the customer service interface to justice and legal ARE the problem that America right now is blaming SOLELY on racism.. It all needs to be MORE TRANSPARENT and seriously MANAGED by city govts MORE concerned with plastic bags, global warming, guns, big gulps, vaping, energy drinks and sanctuary status...

You;'re in a hopeless race rut here and can't even be part of any solutions... Did you watch the WHITE guy in Dallas get snuffed out EXACTLY George Floyd style in 2017?? And how the police WITHHELD the bodycam vids from the court/public for THREE FUCKING YEARS??

Pretty sure with YOUR opinions -- you're NOT EVEN upset by that one.. You'll rationalize it as "the white guy was a mental case" and just move on... Dont think you CARE ENOUGH about Civil Liberties as a WHOLE --- until YOURS are threatened....

1. hahahahaha
2.if a criminal is dead--no--I don't care
3. here--there is no problem of police brutality
I've been over this before
.... even the BEST trained EXPERTS in their fields ''kill'' innocents because of human mistakes = pilots and the military
..the French pilot in the WORST air disaster ever was France's BEST!!
reset or no reset---you will have problems!!

..these are STUPID/irrational/violent criminals the police are dealing with......it's akin to combat---train all year, but it's not the real thing

..there are going to be mistakes/errors/etc--

..when you have to FORCE someone to comply with legal/SENSIBLE orders--that means someone will get hurt

...the police are not the problem---the criminals INITIATE the DYNAMIC/etc problem

....considering the blacks commit crime at much higher rates and are more violent, the police are doing a great job at NOT killing them

as usual, I back up my post with evidence and facts--you people just babble

It;s largely because the rank/file police KNOW this is not solely a "race issue".. It's a Civil Liberties problem that stems from city govts TOO DISTRACTED by partisan trivial shit to MANAGE their basic responsibilities.. THAT's why they are irate about it.. It's that collusion between the city governance and the public UNIONS.. It's that arrogance of PUSHING the economically vulnerable over the cliff with ANY "justice interaction" in the courts or warrants.

It's things like edicts to "crack down" on selling loosey cigs on the streets because mayor wants that outrageous tax revenue... The police enforce warrants whether they are BOGUS or not...

They're caught in middle of a screaming match between folks who have NO CONCEPT how to analyze and solve problems...

.... even the BEST trained EXPERTS in their fields ''kill'' innocents because of human mistakes = pilots and the military

It's moronic to compare public safety and policing to the military... You have a retarded view of the world without REALIZING what's at stake here... Our FREEDOMS are based on TOLERANCE of actions/speech that we dont ENDORSE OR LIKE... It's also based on GOVT fulfilling its BASIC duties first.

You don't even comprehend WHY this country is (was) so special and desired by oppressed people all over the world..
