I would get an FN 49 before a GARAND if I were seeking more Milsurp of that ilk

I've had them in various calibers and found them pretty "meh". I did have a Luxemburg contract (.30-06) sniper at one time but someone wanted it more than I did.

LOL....I have a Belgian example (a CAI turd) that KABOOMED twice on it's owner, he gave it to me after the second time and I turned it into a floor lamp years ago.

I made the base out of a Belgian helmet shell from the same era.

I have a bring-back early M21 (sanitized chi-com SKS) and Soviet M44 made in 1948. The M21 is a straight-up collectable due to it's rarity but I like the pedigree of the M44.

It was refurbed post-war (laminated stock and rebuild markings) and sent to the client state of N. Vietnam.

I actually found a pic of one such rifle in VC use. You can clearly see the laminate stock.

Another Marine buddy of mine still has the M44 that he captured during Operation Apache Snow
