I found a decent condition Winchester Model 64 on consignment at my local shop a month or so ago but I thought it was priced too high at $1800.00 given it's amount of honest wear.

But as luck would have it I sold a super rare Granddad Nambu magazine (that basically cost me nothing) and my share of the sale was $1600.00.

I asked the shop owner if he thought the guy that owned the Winchester would take a bit less so he called him and he said he would take $1600.00 to move it so BOOM! A "free" Winchester. ;)

The rifle came with a proper sight hood and Winchester super grade sling swivels. It's chambered in .30-30 with a 24" barrel. It has a medium grade set of matched grained black walnut pistol grip stock and forestock with cut checkering fore and aft along with the widow's peak checkered steel buttplate. I'm thinking that the rear sight elevator was replaced but it's a Winchester elevator there so i'll leave it be.....For now.

It handles really nice and you don't even notice the barrel length.
