QM does not 'dismiss' singularities so much as redefine them. Since both time and space began at the big bang I don't know that Planck length or Planck time were factors before the BB.You are correct as far as you go ... but my claim was that QM dismisses singularities ... supposedly nothing can be smaller than 1 Planck length ... that's given as 1.616255(18)×10^−35 m ...
The universe isn't smooth at her smallest scales ... like dicing or the Periodic Table ... there's no "in between" values ... can't roll an 8.4 or have Element # 42.751 ...
Just repeating what I hear on the construction site ...
There is certainly no natural Element # 42.751 but in the future, who knows? If we custom build elements with quarks we may make Element # 42.333333 or Element # 42.666666.
