So, you think it would have been ok with the Authorities and the school if the kid had said something against christians or muslims in his graffiti?

It wouldn't bother me in the least. ...

The kid didn't threaten anybody, and in no way did he deserve to be arrested.

I agree. A suspension in my opinion would've been sufficient enough. Getting physical with others to me is when the law should be dialed.
