The question here is the actual age of the tracks. We know that Republican controlled Texas is an aggressively Christian state; at least that's how they portray themselves.

We know also that staunch bible toting Christians believe the whole shooting match, earth and universe is only about 6,000 years old or thereabouts.

So the spokesperson for the Dinosaur Valley State Park, a state of Texas employee, says that the tracks are 113 million years old, in direct contradiction of the States religious foundation.

Is that not problematic? So where does Texas actually stand with their religious beliefs?

the dating methods have proven to be unreliable,,

Not all staunch bible quoting Christians believe that the earth and the rest of the universe is 6000 years old. I have met some, but they are few and far between.

Only creationists beleive the earth is 6000 years old. They also believe that Adam rode dinos like horses.

Your entire premise is tragically flawed in that you're essentially making the argument that Texas is a Christian state and, as such, State employees should be forced to regurgitate Christian dogma.

Well, it's not and they shouldn't.

Texas is no more a Christian state than the United States is a Christian country...

Way back in the day you could say we were a Christian state.
If you go out in the boonies in East Texas there's still churches on every back road corner.
Of course a lot of them are no longer active but they're really cool to see.

I don't really care how many churches there are. Texas isn't, and wasn't, a Christian state.

Florida has more churches than any place I've ever lived and it's certainly not a Christian state...

I've lived here all my life and yes Texas used to be way more religious than it is today.
Everyone went to church on Sunday now not so much.

That's super.

So a lot of Texans are Christians.

Texas still isn't a Christian state...
