We live in a nation in which there is an outcry if anything remotely related to sex is even mentioned around children, except for virginity (i.e. Super Bowl halftime show, Buttigieg responding to a none-year-old's question about being gay), but then equip and encourage children to carry around weapons of war.

11-Year-Old Pilot Makes History With Cross-Country Flight

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Thumbs up and arms spread in triumph, 11-year-old John Kevin Hill stepped from his single-engine airplane at Washington National Airport on Wednesday after becoming the youngest known pilot to fly across the United States.

″I’m glad to be back on solid ground,″ said the boy, who lives with his parents in Arlington, Texas.

After a delay caused by poor weather, John Kevin took off at 12:37 p.m. EDT from Greater Cincinnati International Airport and touched down in Washington just after 3 p.m., ending his week-long journey from Los Angeles.

Guns are not an uncommon sight in the Statehouse when gun legislation is being debated, particularly handguns on belt holsters. Long rifles such as AR-15s also appear occasionally.

Some Idaho lawmakers are known to carry concealed weapons in the Statehouse. State Police patrol the Statehouse, and one and sometimes two are typically present at committee meetings where emotions can become strong.

I am starting to train my six year old granddaughter.

I have been teaching her with a backyard pellet gun. Next comes her own BB gun and then in a couple or three years a .22. When she is ready I will give her an AR-15.

Most of what I have seen center on things like mandatory background checks on all sales, getting rid of large capacity magazines and taking guns away from crazies

Why would any responsible gun owner object to that?
