Gov. Charlie Baker signed an order Friday activating 1,000 members of the state's National Guard.
There was no reason given for the move. The activation is in effect immediately.
Baker's order said the National Guard is being put on "active duty to provide necessary assistance to State and local civilian authorities and/or special duty and emergency assistance for the preservation of life and property, preservation of order, and to afford protection to persons."

Not sure which is more interesting. There is the fact that the National Guard was put on active duty versus "no reason given" immediately followed by the reason.........

As a Massachusetts resident , I have a little history on this. The whiny little shits who have inhabited the corner office in Beacon Hill like to active the National Guard and Mass State Police SWAT/HRT unit any time there is a known or potential protest of any size around the State House.

I’ve heard there were potential anti-mask and/or BLM events planned for today in Boston.
