I have read the sexual definition of Teabagger, and agree it is disgusting, and I would find it insulting if it were hurled at me in the sexual sense. I have done some reading on the definition, and the political definition is quite different. It relates to such things as the Boston Tea Party, English high tea, (as in upper class aristocracy), American Revolutionary thinking, etc. Using the phrase to me is no stronger than saying "silent majority," or "religious right." There are a number of Images available on Google with people wearing 3-corner hats with Tbags attached. As a show of good faith, I will start a thread including all the definitions, and see what response we get from members. I hope this is a reasonable consideration.
Just for the record, I admire anyone who gets out to demonstrate their politics. It is about as American as one can get.
I do not understand your attitude about Teabaggers, this is nothing more than the usual banter. You really anger me when you attack my independence as a voter. When you start with cursing and threats you just push me into the arms of your opposition.
I live in Southern California, and things are a far cry from the Beach Boys era when surfing, hot cars, chasing girls, and going to the drive-in were everyday pleasures. The actual drive-in that the Wilson's used to hang out in is now a Chucky Cheese. Yes, I want Southern California it back too. Compromise can get us there if we remain true to the principles in our founding documents.
Yes, my grandpop does come buy, and I have made the mistake of allowing him to influence my posting. He is as upset as you are, and laughing this thing off is not working on either of you. Perhaps we could all back off on the Teabagger thing. I must admit I got carried away too. I am sure you understand about emotion on these message boards.
