i'm shocked... shocked i tell ya.
For better or worse IMO as long as it is within living memory or one generation afterward the propaganda and social issues surrounding it will be bought over the facts simply beause it's human nature. The people involved want to believe they were the good guys, so that's how they remember and teach it.
What worries me is how many people seem to have trouble with the present, let alone the past!
