Do we prefer Isolationism or Cosmopolitanism?

Over the course of the pass decade I have noticed a debate that occurs behind the curtain of present policy. Throughout history there has been benefits to both pathways of economic encouragement. For a major part of the western expansion of the U.S. the nation had a isolationist attitude. There...

    Idealogical Utopia

I can understand that sentiment; however, this is about his father. His father did not develop the Malthus theories you are talking about. he did consider these Utopian Ideals. What is your take on him? Not his son.

    Idealogical Utopia

Indeed, I also do not agree with population control; however, this is his father, who very much disagreed with his son's view. He believed that those who worked towards a utopia had the keys to the future as opposed to the pessimistic nature of his son.

    Idealogical Utopia

I was reading through a book and found that Danial Malthus, according to the book, had several disagreements with his son, thee Malthus to be, Thomas Malthus. These disagreements were related to Malthus, the elder believing that these utopian ideas were the keys to the future. The utopian...

How do you feel about this new development in Hydropower?

Revolution or Coup D'etat in Russia

Do you believe that if Russia had been further along in their social progression, out of the feudal state and into industrialization, that things would've turned out differently or the same? Do you believe that Trotsky formed the red army to fight the white troops that led to his power, or was...

Revolution or Coup D'etat in Russia

The second revolution during 1917, in which Lenin and his vanguard party seized power for the proletariat, believing that they were not capable of such an act, caused historians abroad to analyze this very scenario. This has open some debate for whether or not the taking of the power that laid...

UN Sending Food to Ethiopia's Tigray Region

Out of further curiosity, how would a military response dedicated to protection bring the opposing parties to the table for negotiations? How would we ensure the aid gets to the people, and for how long do we persist? If negotiations fall through, do we stay?

UN Sending Food to Ethiopia's Tigray Region

We aren't sending troops though, just the food. Would you prefer a UN militarized response? If so to what extent? what side would be supported if any? Whos kids are we sending? Who's paying?

UN Sending Food to Ethiopia's Tigray Region

The United Nations is presently pushing to send food to Tigray in the hope of quelling the recent starvation of the citizenry. Tigray, which is currently facing a massive rebellion seemingly not ending soon, received a request for both factions to halt into a cease-fire to allow for UN aid to...
