That's a good question...I'm afraid to ask..lol.
This is the flag of my hometown in South Central Texas...Goliad. The flag was created during the Texas Revolution against Mexico. The settlers of Goliad created the flag to symbolize the sacrifices they were willing to make in order to be independent of Mexico. Basically, they'd rather cut off their arm to be free than live under Mexican rule. I've always liked the flag.

Thank you for the rep. , frankly I don't find it surprising that many would throw away hard won freedoms for the what appears to be easy comforts. What they don't realze though is that eventually they enslave themselves and place their burdens on their neighbors rather than take them upon themselves.
