Thank you Foxy, no, I think in the case of most of these people they really do lack the intellect to understand even the most basic concepts. My wife had me look at a paper that was submitted from one of her students to get my take on it. We actually know the young man from his work and he is a very nice fellow, but the paper (which is simple to say the least) was extraordinarily disjointed. The opening paragraph had no focus at all. There were three wildly seperate points he attempted to make but he failed miserably on all of them. It was as if he was writing in a language he didn't know but was picking words from a dictionary with no concept of syntax or punctuation. This is COMMON in her classes.
