Your Movie Character..???

1989 In the theater watching 'Batman' with my babe Renee'... In the scene where Jack Nicholson is preening in the mirror, before he became the Joker.... Jerry Hall walks up, puts her hand on his shoulder and says, "You look fine." Jack turns around slowly, and sneers, "I didn't ask."

When Renee' saw this she elbowed me and half-whispered, "That's you!"

About 57 seconds into this video:

Irony was, Renee' never knew about my late night, masked crime fighting real double life as the Midnight Marauder, that had been going on already for a couple of years at that time....

Cosmo Brown in "Singing in the Rain". Sings, Dances and in the end becomes head of the studio's music department, plus his best friends are jet setting actors. Although I would have to put up with Lena Lamont for a bit, and she's richer than Calvin Coolidge.... put together!

Of course IRL, I'm more towards either Dusty in the movie "Twister" or Kevin Smith's character in "Live Free or Die Hard"... without the tech skills

Paul Muad'dib in Dune (1984).

Hopefully you mean the book "Paul" and not the movie one.

The movie. My favorite. Seen it a dozen times.

I know it was panned. I understand from friends that there is no comparison. One guy I know named his first born Alia.

I tried reading but my mind is fixated on the cinema version so I'll leave it at that.

Excuse me while I go conjure myself a big one. :D

I liked the film too..it was pretty faithful to the Book. David Lynch's weirdness lent itself well to the story. And Frank Herbert worked on the project as well.

Do yourself a favor and read the book. It's an extremely rich and engrossing story.

Bette Midler in just about anything. I relate to her torchy side, her tawdry side and her humorous side and definitely her musical and concert style. :D

Love your Avatars..

AVATARS!!!!???? Damn Lumpy!!!! Haven't you been over to her page??? Christ onna cracker she's hotter than most of the movie stars out there...definitely hotter than the last couple of dozen gals that have come out on the screen. She's hotter'n Penelope Cruz.. all the desperate housewives put together.. If ya ask me playing Bette Midler is a step down for our georgeous AA!!!

Just sayin..:eusa_whistle:

I'm backing away from the monitor now...

but.. I will check out her page...are you a love struck puppy?

The one who plays characters I most identify with is probably Meryl Streep most particularly her character as Countess Karen Blixen in "Out of Africa."

Another character I felt especially connected to was played by Mary Stuart Masterson as Idgie is "Fried Green Tomatoes."

And also Anjelica Huston as Calamity Jane in "Buffalo Girls"

I think the thread OP is asking for "Actors." I would rather pick an actress myself, but I also wonder how many women would like to be a man, or how many men would like to be a women, just for say,.....a week. Just to see what it would be like,........:eusa_angel:

I'd like to be Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. But I'm probably more like Peter Lorre in Casablanca.

Katherine Hepburn in African Queen.

Maureen O'Hara in The Quiet Man.

Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind.

I was very much like Maureen in The Quiet Man when I was younger. Contrary, prideful, and insanely ridiculous, I'm sure.

Thank goodness I'm not like that anymore.

Ah! The fiery 'Colleen'! A feisty redhead with wit and will.

Actually, I'm not like Bogart nor Lorre. I'm most like Monty Wooley in The Man Who Came to Dinner. Put that personality with Maureen O'Hara in The Quiet Man and stand back! Sparks will fly (along with dishes, ashtrays, figurines, fireplace accessories, lamps, cigarette boxes, liquor bottles, flower vases, telephones and anything else at hand! I've seen the movie!)

I have two choices.

1st choice: The beagle in the Underdog movie.
2nd choice: Roger Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (Strollingbones called me Roger Rabbit once and I always wondered how she knew???)
