Sometimes, I get an alert when someone makes a new post in one of my "watched threads."
& sometimes, I dont.
That doesnt seem right. Just letting yaz know.
Sometimes I think we Americans are so spoiled that we take for granted all the good things happening around us every single day.
A few alerts didn't work? Seriously???
This board is 100% better than the old board. The features are great and it is much easier to use. It's a brand new year and we need to be happy we have a message board! Some people are still writing in the dirt with a stick - or sending a message by smoke signals or balloons! (evangelism to North Koreans) How'd you like to be in that situation?
I dont care as much as you think, im just trying to help out by drawing attention to a glitch.Sometimes I think we Americans are so spoiled that we take for granted all the good things happening around us every single day.

Not really, makes perfect sense. The other option is to get hammered with alerts all day long (on a popular thread)I see. Lol thats redonkulous man jeebus
It doesnt make sense for one reason. Not really, makes perfect sense. The other option is to get hammered with alerts all day long (on a popular thread)I see. Lol thats redonkulous man jeebus
It doesn't decipher who you're talking to. You're watching a THREAD not a member. It doesnt make sense for one reason. Not really, makes perfect sense. The other option is to get hammered with alerts all day long (on a popular thread)I see. Lol thats redonkulous man jeebus
Much of the time youre in a thread conversing with one or two people
You also by proxy see other side convos going on.
Why click an alert for someone on the side convo?

Here's a hypothetical but on a forum like this can easily happen. Lets say you are watching 8 threads. Would you prefer to get 1 alert before reading the entire thread or would you prefer to get an alert every time some one posted in those 8 threads which could easily result in 80+ alerts in a few hours?Thats the point. It doesn't decipher who you're talking to. Person x and y are having a side convo in thread z.
Im interested in all info re: thread z except what x and y are babbling about.
Skip x and y's posts, and lose alerts for whole thread?**
Im all for logic and reason. But this one lacks sensibility.
**this scenario detailed above is not an isolated scenario.......its virtually every thread.
I have to mull this over and reflect upon some alcohol. Here's a hypothetical but on a forum like this can easily happen. Lets say you are watching 8 threads.
