Classical liberal / Libertarian.

yet another progressive posing as a liberal. gwad, they make me sick!:eusa_hand:

Definitely not a progressive, and only a liberal in the classical Locke / Bastiat / Mises / Hayek sense. Libertarian would be my modern identification.

thank you---libertarian will fit you. but you are also progressive minded. your postings are fucked up.

Well I don't identify with the progressive movement or any actual progressives like Teddy Roosevelt, so please feel free to "expose" me.

"Pragmatic classical liberal."

Since that's not an option, I just put "classical liberal."

another...

why do some asswipes think they can be as intolerant as any jerk to walk the earth and yet claim the mantle of liberalism?

You're complaining about intolerance after all the names you call people on this board?

insulting is an art form and as an art form it is anathema to intolerance. I have pos repped many an asswipe because of the content of their post and not always because I agreed with them.

I am a liberal and I am very liberal in most my insults.

nope. the correct and h-o-n-e-s-t way would've been to leave a few ... before and/or after the words. otherwise you leave a false impression. if you want to mine posts and not become such a pussy (as you evidently are for crying to the maude squad...) never mind.

gonna be nice to see you cry again

Well, let's see if I can't put this thread back on its rails.

I'm somewhat of an anarcho-socialist. Money is power and power corrupts. Give the power to the people (unlike what we have now where rich people run for office and are simply representatives of special interests). And that means giving the means to the people and abolishing wealth.

I think government should be of no more purpose than to provide security (as in military and law enforcement) only until we can, as a species, work out a way of not killing eachother in wars - which if we were all socialists there wouldn't be any reason to go to war with eachother (i.e. power, money, and resources); and a focus for action. I think the only laws we should have should be: don't harm eachother directly (murder, assault, rape, abuse) or indirectly (pollution, hoarding of capital, classism, discrimination), and don't infringe on others' rights which we as human beings shall determine.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Its my utopian idealistic fantasy world, but, hey, we're human beings and we're capable of accomplishing anything to which we truly put our efforts and minds, right?

please do.

not too many years ago a normal person would've been shy aboput describing themselves this way. I don't know what to say. but thanks for being honest and sincere.

If money is power and you want the power in the hands of 'the peopel' can I assume you favor a redistribution of wealth/power? one cannot realistically advocate abolishing wealth.

think....think....think....I know you can do IT.
