Okay for what? Aside from the fact you guys have given passes to both Reagan, who basically committed treason when he was secretly selling weapons to Iran in exchange for hostages and Bush..what exactly did Obama do? He wasn't friends with Bill Ayers any more then McCain, who had the same sort of involvement with Ayers, was. And lets look at the weathermen. They took a good deal of trouble to make sure they didn't hurt any one. Ayers left the organization before they were involved in murder, as well. He then became a productive and contributing member of society. So much so..he was sought out by both Democrats and Republicans to help with charitable causes.

Lets look at Reverend Wright. He served his country in the military. He then became a top cardiopulminary specialist that assisted in the care of President Lyndon Johnson. Even with all that service and acumen..he was treated like a second or third class citizen. He went on to become a pastor involved in charitable works and start the Trinity United Church of Christ. After hearing story after story of discrimination against black people..and with his own experience of treatment..he lashed out. I'd say, given the circumstances, he had a good case.

Contrast that with Osama Bin Laden..and Pat Robertson.

See Osama Bin Laden.... Bush "pursued" him into Iraq for the better part of his two terms, current administration makes his capture top priority and he's found in less than a full term. Economy is not spiraling as it was when he INHERITED it, but jobs will be a point of contention, I concede that. But Obama's biggest criticism from me is that he actually tried to be bi-partisan and wasted the better part of 2 years trying to appease too many people. The radical right has a zero compromise and intolerant agenda, trying to reason with them right now is like trying to reason with a starving wolf to share his food. That part of the party is dying, literally. They are clinging on in fear of change and progress. Self preservation is an instinct. But you do see more promising candidates emerge Huntsman is my favorite, but Paul and Romney are also moderates at heart even if Romney has "changed his mind" to win the nomination.
