Yet another good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.

The Left's idea of gun rights is granting a 4' 11" woman the "right" to fistfight an armed thug.

Talk about a war on woman!

Good shot honey, way to keep your head about you.

actually, following the activities of the husband of hilary, the democrat President......the left's idea is that the woman is raped, and the wife of the rapist helps protect him from prosecution.........as long as the woman raped is a low level democrat, the sacrifice for women's rights is acceptable....

To me, we need more people like her. If anyone is going to be shot at, why should it be a person who was just minding their own business?

God bless you and her always!!!

Great story.

Dad was a Marine and taught her how to shoot.

From the discussion she carried her 1911A1 in condition 2, and she then drew it, cocked it and shot the guy.

It is understandable that she would then run away, due to the fight or flight reflex.

It sounds like her dad gave her some good ole' USMC training in order to enable her to focus on her assailant (which we call the enemy) and shoot him before he could shoot her. This takes conditioning through training.

Marine kids eat nails and spit fire.

Phoenix is worse than I though.

I can see this happening in Oakland or East L.A. or Houston or Miami or Chicago.

But Phoenix ???

There are other salient issues here in debriefing this situation however.

Situational awareness is critical at all times, especially when you are carrying a pistol.

The lady in the story, call her the Marine Kid, probably should have been watching out so that nobody could sneak up on her. She should not have let anyone get that close in the first place. She could have easily been stabbed first.

If you are going to pack your own heat you need to be vigilant at every moment and evaluate everyone around you as a potential threat. If someone gets too close you should start your defense long before they have got their hands on you.

You can usually tell someone is suspicious if they have you focused in their sight, and then if they approach you.

That's when you need to dodge them, and put something between you and them -- a table or car or something.

While this encounter was a success for the Marine Kid, it could have gone a lot worse for her.

Just saying.
