A mutant virus strand found in the scorching Yellowstone supervolcano pools that could cure cancer has been found to survive the most extreme heats, scientists warned. A scientist who has dedicated seven years of her life to studying viruses thriving in the Yellowstone Hayden Valley claims to have come across a potentially game-changing discovery. Deep in the bubbling hot springs of the Yellowstone supervolcano, Montana State (MSU) researcher,

A virus that can cure cancer, oh well we can be sure the stock holders, the big pharma asses will be sure to figure out a way to take that over. Gawd forbid cure cancer, The industry would lose billions of people were cured of cancer.

INSTEAD OF RUNNING FOR A CURE FIND THE GAWD DAM CAUSE!!

and don't even use that end times bs click the link lazy asses. :iyfyus.jpg:

If others are lazy for not clicking a link within the article you post, doesn't that make you lazy for not posting the link to that site, instead of end time headlines, in the first place? :eusa_whistle:

Here's the link that end times headlines leads to: Yellowstone virus WARNING: Super volcano mutant virus strand can survive EXTREME heats
Here's a more thorough article about this: Yellowstone virus leads Montana State University student to ground-breaking research
Here's an abstract of the actual paper (one needs to be registered to see the full paper): Structural studies of Acidianus tailed spindle virus reveal a structural paradigm used in the assembly of spindle-shaped viruses

The gist seems to be that viruses come in 3 basic shapes: spheres, cylinders, and lemon-shaped. This particular virus is lemon-shaped, and the research about it has led to new understanding about how a lemon-shaped virus functions, which might have technological applications.

As opposed to who? Do you know how much it costs to fund research? Do you understand how much money is required to put a drug on market from start to pharmacy? Time?

"In an analysis of 10 cancer drugs approved between 2006 and 2015 published Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine, researchers found that the median cost to develop a new cancer drug was $648 million ($757.4 million when factoring a 7% per year opportunity cost), and the median time it took to develop the new drugs was 7.3 years"
A new study undermines Big Pharma's justification for charging high drug prices

    Yes Veronica...we require corporations.
