Sometimes I wonder why I did not think of something so obvious. If, as some have asserted, Congress not raising the debt ceiling would be grounds for the president to invoke the 14th Amendment to avoid default, can Obama actually carry out a threat to veto any bill that reaches his desk just because he does not like it?
The strange thing is, Clinton actually did that in the past.
Would it be “Unconstitutional” to Veto a Debt Limit Increase? « Point of Order
Damn it, now my brain is going in so many directions I feel like rdean must when he is faced with proof that Obama is no different than Bush.
Excuse me, I had to get that out of my system, but it does raise some interesting questions.
