I haven't checked every thread in here, so I don't know, but I am pretty sure that some Obama hater has claimed that he is both Socialist, and responsible-via his Socialist policies-for the currently high gasoline prices. I ask such people to then explain how Venezuela-with it's Socialist government-manages to make a profit while selling gasoline at FOUR CENTS PER GALLON.

I notice that Venezuela has petroleum deposits...like we in the USA do, and that it has processing plants, like we in the USA do, but they pay FOUR CENTS PER GALLON, while we pay FOUR DOLLARS PLUS PER GALLON. Either Socialist governments are good for something, or they just keep privately owned oil companies from buying up all their political parties, candidates, offices, etc. Which-Dear Birthers-is it?

High gas prices in the USA are the result of a combination of greedy private oil companies owning our government, and under educated consumers not understanding The Law Of Supply And Demand...(when you drive more, you buy more gasoline...when you buy more gasoline, the price of gasoline goes up).

So, is it worth an extra $4.00+ per gallon to allow oil companies to run the USA? If so, why? If not, why not? Explain, please.
