Working: 100 years of radiators
A dying art- repairable radiators are all but a thing of the past- I remember the first plastic tank radiator I saw was in the 80's at a tire shop- it was in a Mercedes- fast forward to today, most, if not all, new street cars have plastic/composite tank radiators- it's cheaper to replace one than it was to repair one- and obviously cheaper to mass produce- not sure about the thermodynamic heat rejection of plastic/composite vs metal- but too, you don't see a lot of over heating in this day and time like you used to-
