Workers are the backbone of the usa

And the worker gets about .45 cents an hour if they are not just convict labor.

No, 51 cents an hour. More that one Republican has pointed to China as a "model" for US manufacturing.

Yes they have. And they need to be sent packing. Obama loves China. Most of his green jobs went over there. New light bulbs any one ? Cant wait till he is gone.

It's one thing repeating what you've been told and another to actually go out looking for facts.

We owe a lot to the unions and I mean that literally. They are bankrupting almost every state. They took down one American industry after another with auto being the most recent and they have destroyed our educational system

Take a bow!

That's ridiculous. Unions make up only a tiny percentage of American workers.

It's Republican policies that have brought down the econcomy. That much is clear.

And they are also the most expensive for the amount of work they claim to do. What union do you belong to ?

None. I went to college.

Unions, for the most part, require skilled workers who have learned a trade. Unions brought us health care, the 40 hour work week, they ended child labor and so on.

OK.

How, Deany? How did Republicans tank the US Auto industry?

Ditto!

It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, family leave, health insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label.
Barack Obama

Also without unions everyone would either BE or working for Ebenezer Scrooge. If republicans get their way we wilol be living a Dicken's tale. No middle class=3rd world country.

My dad quit paying his union dues to the UMWA when Obama got elected. (Dads retired and paying them is not mandatory) The union always pushed for democtatic candidates and this one really back fired on them.

The mafia owned it, GM assembling cars in Mexico, union product lacking quality. And the last I herd, collage grads are not doing so good. A union member is nothing more then a paid uneducated thug. All over tho country Unions are losing there power. And then there are you sheep.

That's b/c they have done most of the damage that they can do in the private sector.

Negged for a baseless over the top lie.

Gotta love union hacks.

They have to bring up 70 y/o history to show how great they were.

I'd like you fucks to come to Bethlehem, so I can show you idiots the end results.

Michigan, and Pensylvania to. Unions were so good for the steel industry.

Here's a great story of how great a job they did.

The Sands opened a casino where some of the mills used to be and about 300 yards from the last working mill in Bethlehem. But it was still CHEAPER for them to IMPORT steel from JAPAN.

Thousands of miles vs 300 yards and the union mill still couldn't compete.

Of course they couldnt compete. Unions priced their labor out of the market years ago. And for anybody who wants to give credit to unions for all these workers benefits read a history book. Unions did not invent the 40 hour work week. (Who gets to work only 40 hours a week anyway.) Family leave, medical insurance, workers comp, none of that can be credited to unions. Business was going to see at some point the benefit of a better compensated workforce. Unions just seized on that opportunity to become the big labor to big industry.

Allentown - Billy Joel

Well we're living here in Allentown
And they're closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they're killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the Second World War

Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers in the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we're living here in Allentown

But the restlessness was handed down
And it's getting very hard to stay

Well we're waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved

So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coke
And chromium steel
And we're waiting here in Allentown

But they've taken all the coal from the ground
And the UNION PEOPLE CRAWLED AWAY

Every child has a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our place

Well I'm living here in Allentown
And it's hard to keep a good man down
But I won't be getting very hard to stay
And we're living here in Allentown

Billy Joel says it good here.

Lets face the facts that american, just american, businesses look upon their workers as a pain to have.

Not anymore, more of them than not have become lazy, self centered crybabies....

You copuld be right! that is one of the resons why Mexicans are doing so good in this country. Willing to work hard for low wages.

However your "negative Waves" are not helping! lol
