After 9/11, the world has become anxious about what kinds of civilian targets and cultural monuments are now vulnerable because of the threat of anti-civilization terrorism (e.g., Taliban, ISIS, etc.).

Now that the much-anticipated Super Bowl is approaching, security-officials have to consider how to keep consumers happy and feeling safe/secure enough to attend mass public events such as sporting-events in America.

You start to wonder if modern era terrorism has 'devastated' our natural peace confidence regarding mass tourism and transit and even the archaeological 'security' of 'sacred relics' such as the Wonders of the World.

I read a conspiracy-theory the other day that on Super Bowl Sunday, ISIS and an unnamed terrorism-oriented group/ally are planning a terrorist-attack on the Library of Congress (perhaps to unnerve Americans' sensibility about the protection of large volumes of academic knowledge and records!).

This oddly has the sound of an eerie Batman (DC Comics) storyboard involving a global anarchy scheme by the 'super-villain' Ra's al Ghul(!).

I wonder what anti-American and anti-Western terrorists (e.g., ISIS) think about America's general fascination with 'colloquial justice' folklore (i.e., comic books!).

BATMAN: The Wonders of the World are sacred, Ra's...
RA'S: Nothing is sacred when politics becomes complicated!
BATMAN: What about the United Nations?
RA'S: It's a useless body, and no more 'cherished' than the World Bank.
BATMAN: You're confusing Wall Street 'efficiency' with 'democracy-flaws.'
RA'S: Is democracy truly 'compatible' with capitalism, Batman?
BATMAN: Capitalism may be cutthroat, but it still promotes creativity.
RA'S: Perhaps mercantilism is 'creative,' but Wall Street is a plague.
BATMAN: We have to cater to the creative interest in cultural monuments.
RA'S: The Statue of Liberty is no more 'magical' than Yellowstone.
BATMAN: Natural parks represent real interests in eco-conservation!
RA'S: We'll see what capitalists think about 9/11 on Super Bowl Sunday.
BATMAN: Maybe television numbs our moral sense, but Americans like negotiating.
RA'S: Well, the time for negotiation may be past, and America is a glutton!
BATMAN: I believe the Wonders of the World symbolize infrastructure optimism.
RA'S: Labor is always tricky under capitalism, but maintenance requires faith!
BATMAN: Terrorism is not the cure to corruption...
RA'S: Well, the Library of Congress sometimes appears to be a 'vain' theater.

Well, seeing as Tom Clancy wrote a book about people nuking a Super Bowl many, many years ago, and it's still not happened....
