I play tennis six days a week. I know for a fact that the five hundredth ranked male tennis pro can beat the top ranked female tennis pro.
At the four Grand Slam events, men have to win best of five sets.
Women only win best of three sets, and yet women get the identical prize money for
less work and far less ability!

So today, I looked up soccer compensation.
Eye-opening.

World’s highest paid soccer players – 2024

Karim Benzema - $100 million / year. ...
Kylian Mbappe - $90 million / year. ...
Lionel Messi - £55 million / year. ...
Riyad Mahrez - £45 million / year. ...
Sadio Mané - £35 million / year. ...
Mohamed Salah - $35 million / year. ...
Kevin De Bruyne - £35 million / year. ...
Harry Kane - £21 million / year.

$1.26 equals a British Pound Sterling at this time

So the top female soccer player earns $525,000 a year

Sam Kerr 417,000 British Pounds
Alex Morgan 375,000
Megan Rapinhoe 373,000
Julia Ertz 359,000
Ada Hegersberg 355,000
Marta 344,000
Amandine Henry 320,540
Wendie Renard 318,510

You are limiting your examples to sports and in those instances, I believe that like compensation in law offices, their income should be tied directly to the amount of money they generate. However when you widen your example to most other male/female jobs, I believe women are compensated the very same for the same job in my experience.

Those damn women. They should be happy just to serve a man anyway we see fit.

Why do you guys hate women so much?

In what occupation is there evidence that women paid less?

The $.70 on the dollar is a debunked, bullshit number that's just flat wrong.
Soccer! HELLO! I just gave you the figures showing top male pros are paid over 100 times what the women are paid.

I spent thirty five years working for a major telephone company. It was a union shop. Women made the same base hourly wage as men. Almost all the women made less money than their male fellow employees because only very rare women were willing to work overtime. The difference could be between a sixty grand base salary and a hundred to hundred twenty grand with overtime. Time and a half and double time and a half add up quickly. There were pay periods where my income taxes exceeded a normal paycheck.

Were they paid the same base hourly wage? Were they denied the opportunity for the OT? I worked for the largest winery in the world for 33 years and the wages were paid for the job--regardless of gender. The argument may had some merit in the 50s and into the 60s but I don't think it has any merit in today's work place.

BASKETBALL

WOMEN

Arike Ogunbowale DAL $241,984

Kahleah Copper PHX $241,984

Jewell Lloyd SEA $241,984

MEN

Stephen Curry $51,915,615 (214 times Arike’s pay)

Kevin Durant 47,649,433

LeBron James 47,607,350

The company I work for pays men and women the same based on merit.

If any woman could play soccer, or basketball, as well as the best male pros play those sports, wouldn't team management be stupid not to hire them?
Yes, yes they would. How about a soccer game between a professional male team and a professional female team? And a basketball game between the Lakers and the WNBA team of your choice?

Is there the slightest doubt of the two outcomes? No, there is not.
The same with tennis. And tennis whiners get "equal pay" for very unequal work.

Women lack the strength and stamina of men which is no disrespect to them.

Not really a great example considering men and women soccer leagues are two separate organizations, men get paid to play, women get a guarantee salary + bonus, and male leagues have historically garnered my viewership and sponsorships.

So .. what else you got?

Why don't YOU, in all your great pomp and circumstance, give the audience "great examples." We await breathlessly.
"Two separate organizations." "Men get paid to play." Wow. Such incisive wit.

I've worked under both female and male supervisors and the woman was more understanding than the male. Of course I believe she was infatuated with me.

You've ignored the glaring reason that I presented. Again, like a law firm, they are paid by the amount of money they generate for the league--no different than than the men. You are trying, unsuccessfully, to make a mountain from a mole hill.
