Wisconsin made me proud tonight.

Indeed.........the wheels are coming off the k00ks bandwagon. And I couldnt be laughing any harder. America has been able to take a nice long gandor at the disgrace that is liberal public policy AND the dumbassses who support it. A fcukking disaster.........everywhere you look.

Yo Jester......go check out DRUDGE tonight and laugh your balls off. The k00ks are getting pwned and tonight, more than 30 million people will be seeing it..........
I will most certainly do that brother!

Yeah, but the 350 listening to NPR may not be so amused.

So the answer is government, and not industries?

You're confusing me....

pick a side and stick with it.

Do we need MORE JOBS, or MORE GOVERNMENT?

The industries are in China, etc., because the free market put them there. If you support the free market, then you support the industries not being here. The free market if left to its own devices will continue to force this decline on America until wages here are low enough to cause the free market to see merit in putting industry here instead of in China, etc.

If you love the free market more than you love America, you should be happy.

No, the industries are in China because unions chased them out of the US.

Thanks, socialism! You rock!

That's false. Chinese factories pay less than any non-union factory in this country.

I said we need to incentivize investment in industries. I think it was implied that I was talking about US-based industries, but there is the clarification.

Are you saying that is a bad thing?

We should incentivize domestic industry by putting a tariff on every good that is made in a country where the corporations don't have to pay American wages.

We need to do the impossible, which is to put the country back in the hands of people who care about the country.

You don't get it.

When liberals like Obama or Carbiner (paid liberal hack) talk about "jobs" they mean GOVERNMENT UNION JOBS.

They don't mean jobs that will help the economy. They mean jobs that bleed the economy at the expense of the tax payers.

Liberals aren't for helping the economy. They are for wealth distribution. Which means you have the "wealth" (any nickle or dime you happen to earn) and THEY distribute it to themselves!

;)

The I-pad is made overseas by workers making about 300 bucks a month.

What's the Conservative plan to get those jobs back?

Well that's a good idea.......once we have the facilities to absorb production of all those products we don't make here (like the iPad).

You have to incentivize INVESTMENT in domestic industries, not simply tax imports. That doesn't help us out here....it simply forces the foreign manufacturer to raise his prices.

You don't really want to answer this question, do you?

I understand :)

Union Busting: The Michael Moore Way
Moore called two of his writers into his office. It was, for both of them, their first job in television, and they had been hired with the title of associate producer. They were not members of the Writers’ Guild, the powerful union for writers in movies and TV, and thus were not receiving health benefits, and would not qualify later for a percentage of video and rerun sales. Michael said, "I’m getting a lot of heat from the union to call you guys writers and pay you under the union rules," Eric Zicklin, one of the associate producers, says. "‘I don’t have the budget for that. But if they keep coming down on me that’ll mean I’ll only be able to afford one of you and the other one’s gotta go."

Scott Walker: Why I'm Fighting in Wisconsin - WSJ.com
In 2010, Megan Sampson was named an Outstanding First Year Teacher in Wisconsin. A week later, she got a layoff notice from the Milwaukee Public Schools. Why would one of the best new teachers in the state be one of the first let go? Because her collective-bargaining contract requires staffing decisions to be made based on seniority.
Ms. Sampson got a layoff notice because the union leadership would not accept reasonable changes to their contract. Instead, they hid behind a collective-bargaining agreement that costs the taxpayers $101,091 per year for each teacher, protects a 0% contribution for health-insurance premiums, and forces schools to hire and fire based on seniority and union rules.

My state's budget-repair bill, which passed the Assembly on Feb. 25 and awaits a vote in the Senate, reforms this union-controlled hiring and firing process by allowing school districts to assign staff based on merit and performance. That keeps great teachers like Ms. Sampson in the classroom.

hey, we cant have that
if they actually keep the good effective teachers then the students will learn and we cant use the failing school systems as an excuse to throw more money into it

It is rare these days that I get a genuine sense of pride from the actions of ANY political body, but Wisconsin's Senate showed a lot of courage, a lot of conviction, and sent a message that the process will not be killed, no matter WHO is attacking it.

Kudos, and thanks, to Wisconsin!

And Idaho too!

oh they sent a message alright

One by one they closed their accounts and withdrew their life savings, totaling approximately $190,000.
