Wisconsin made me proud tonight.

The resentment towards public sector unionized workers is simply another symptom of the fact that we are a nation in decline. Fewer and fewer good paying jobs leave more and more people envious of and angry at those who have the good jobs that are left.

No one would care if our public servants were well paid, with good benefits, and good working conditions if millions of good paying jobs in industry hadn't disappeared over the last 30 or so years.

Sounds like we need to incentivize investment in industry?

We need to do the impossible, which is to put the country back in the hands of people who care about the country.

So the answer is government, and not industries?

You're confusing me....

pick a side and stick with it.

Do we need MORE JOBS, or MORE GOVERNMENT?

Victory! Wisconsin Senate GOP Votes to Strip State Workers of Collective Bargaining Rights

Apparently, state legislature Republicans have more spine than Republicans in Washington:
Bypassing Democrats hiding out in Illinois, Wisconsin Senate Republicans voted Wednesday night to strip state workers of their collective bargaining rights.

Republicans voted 18-1 to pass the stripped-down budget bill in a hastily arranged meeting. None of the Senate Democrats were present.

The State Assembly is expected to vote on the bill Thursday.
All 14 Senate Democrats fled to Illinois nearly three weeks ago, preventing the chamber from having enough members present to consider Gov. Scott Walker’s so-called “budget repair bill” — a proposal introduced to plug a $137 million budget shortfall..

The Senate requires a quorum to take up any measures that spend money. But Republicans on Wednesday split from the legislation the proposal to curtail union rights, and a special conference committee of state lawmakers approved that bill a short time later.

Wisconsin Senate Democratic leader Mark Miller said Wednesday Democrats will “join the people of Wisconsin in taking back their government,” but he refused to say when.

The lone Democrat present on the conference committee, Rep. Tony Barca, shouted that the surprise meeting was a violation of the state’s open meetings law but Republicans voted over his objections. The Senate then convened within minutes and passed it without discussion or debate.

Spectators in the gallery screamed “You are cowards.”

No, sorry! The cowards were the Democrats who thought hiding out was going to get them off the hook with the taxpayers who foot the bill for greedy, demanding unions. Republicans decided to call their bluff and do an end run around them. This is great. Maybe Democrats will think twice before pulling another “run for the border” move in the future. I applaud the Republicans in Wisconsin for doing the right thing.

Better watch out, your food stamps are next.

Um, Hello! I don't take foodstamps, or Wic, or Welfare, or Medicare, or any of it.

I know saying something like this makes liberals feel threatened, but I'm not dependent on the government to feed myself or my kids.

Hate to disillusion you like that!

Not only that, I HOPE foodstamps are next. It is the business of the church to feed the poor, not the government.

The Wisconsin GOP just saved 1500 jobs.

By my count, it took them just 30 minutes to catch up with our president.

As for the working people. The majority out there are not Union members. That doesn't make them any less important than the Union worker.

Some folks should remember that.

Who the hell's fault is that, if we are a "nation in decline??????"

Maybe it is Democrats who have pushed union interests over the interests of the nation for more than 50 years???

Maybe it is Obama who TRIPLED, (hell) QUADRUPLED deficit spending in his FIRST THREE MONTHS IN OFFICE, make Bush look like a piker. Yet this is all Bush's fault?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Liberals, like lemmings, have rushed toward the point of no return as if they could spend us into oblivion and they would never see the consequences.

The nation has finally woke up to the destructiveness of liberal policies.

It's too late for you libs to whine as if you care. You had your chances. You blew it.

Time for the adults to take over and fix the problem, putting liberals back into the play pen where they belong.

The industries are in China, etc., because the free market put them there. If you support the free market, then you support the industries not being here. The free market if left to its own devices will continue to force this decline on America until wages here are low enough to cause the free market to see merit in putting industry here instead of in China, etc.

If you love the free market more than you love America, you should be happy.

I said we need to incentivize investment in industries. I think it was implied that I was talking about US-based industries, but there is the clarification.

Are you saying that is a bad thing?

You don't get it.

When liberals like Obama or Carbiner (paid liberal hack) talk about "jobs" they mean GOVERNMENT UNION JOBS.

They don't mean jobs that will help the economy. They mean jobs that bleed the economy at the expense of the tax payers.

Liberals aren't for helping the economy. They are for wealth distribution. Which means you have the "wealth" (any nickle or dime you happen to earn) and THEY distribute it to themselves!

;)

And socialism, isolationism, and protectionism is the answer?

You think that will cause an "increase" in American wages?

Can you show me where that has happened in any closed society that has practiced what you preach?

I would LOVE to hear you tell us!

Well, at least we can all now see that you have no meaningful response. Why don't you just admit that you are "proud" because you want to control people's lives, and you feel like the Wisconsin legislature did that for you. By them supporting the position you chose to support, you feel like you've accomplished your goal of controlling what these teachers do regarding things that have absolutely nothing to do with you and have absolutely no effect on you.

Ok.

I admit it.

Guess what?

Gameover-web-final.jpg

Is it truely Game Over? Are you sticking with that, kind of like "Mission Accomplished"?

They do...as they wave their American flags made in China.

Elections have consequences.

You may not like the consequences but they happen.

The Dems lost in WI and instead of staying to do their duty they stopped the proceedings by leaving the State. Bunch of gutless wonders in my book. BTW if the Reps had done the same my opinion of them would be the same.

The Reps won this round of elections. There are consequences. Although if I read it right the collective bargaining for wages is still in effect. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, the Gove of WI should outline for the taxpayers of WI exactly what the Union bargaining is costing them every year.

If the Dems win the next round, there will be consequences.

I'm no Union fan. Never have been. Never will be. If they all disappeared tomorrow I wouldn't shed a single tear. I don't believe the States of NY, NJ, CAlI and any other State that is drowning in Union negotiated wages, pensions and benifits would shed a tear either.

As for the working people. The majority out there are not Union members. That doesn't make them any less important than the Union worker.

Some folks should remember that.

One of the GOP Wisconsin Senators was on Fox and Friends this morning. He related that in November, durring the lame duck session when dems were still in control, an outgoing Democrat Senator cautioned him that not showing up to vote on a spending proposal would be derilection of duty.
funny how that changed

Is it truely Game Over? Are you sticking with that, kind of like "Mission Accomplished"?

Yep.

Now, as I've said, I think there is a decent chance a Judge steps in and forces the Senate to go through the process again, with proper notice.

If I'm right there, no more than 24 hours after notice is posted (and I suspect the correct ruling would be a 2 hour notice, but I'm not the Judge), the vote is called again, and the result is the same.

So yeah.

Game Over.

You get another quarter in two years.

No, the industries are in China because unions chased them out of the US.

Thanks, socialism! You rock!

How many times do the k00ks need to be reminded about last November.................

Fact is........this is a "Poltics" forum and no matter what kind os absurd spin the k00ks make on issues, it is what it is. Its not even dabatable..........especially now..........we are a center-right country and you're now seeing it from sea to shining sea. The k00ks are miserable as shit because they are getting their balls kicked in on a daily basis. I come in her and post up something in a manner that hits the re-set button thus bringing things back to real. The k00ks can read the tea leaves..........they just cant take the fact that they are in the back seat big time these days...........and frankly, they cant even fit back there with the likes of Michael Moore showing up and making them even more irrelevant!!!

Damn right buddy!........The entertainment value coming from these spineless, lame, limpdicked mofo's since November has increased tenfold. I'm lovin' it!.......And it's only going to get better. People are sick and tired of these damn lib's and their asinine agenda, hence, they are constantly seeing their asinine agenda kicked thoroughly to the curb. You're right, we are a center right society. The lame liberal loons are now watching our center right society kick their sorry asses straight in the fucking balls......Enough is enough!

Oh, and have you checked out those sorry douchebags in Wisconsin actin' like a bunch o' fools?........I watched two of 'em turn on each other. Grabbin' each other by the throats. And of course, it's highly entertaining watching the capitol police dragging their stupid asses out of the building by their collars.

They're just lame people, nothing more.

It's been all over the news this morning. I sat enjoyin' my coffee, laughin' my ass off.

They're trying to climb through windows. Pushin' each other. Two dudes grabbin ' each other by the throats. Capitol police shoving 'em out of doorways and windows, draggin' 'em across the capitol floor, while the lame lil' douchebags try to lay on the floor while shouting "SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!"

You know, basically, stupid liberals acting like stupid liberals!

Must see TV, indeed!

Indeed.........the wheels are coming off the k00ks bandwagon. And I couldnt be laughing any harder. America has been able to take a nice long gandor at the disgrace that is liberal public policy AND the dumbassses who support it. A fcukking disaster.........everywhere you look.

Yo Jester......go check out DRUDGE tonight and laugh your balls off. The k00ks are getting pwned and tonight, more than 30 million people will be seeing it..........
