Winning Strategies for the GOP: Part 1, Every Vote Counts, Only Once

Instead of your sore-loser fantasies about this imaginary vote fraud, you could try changing your party so it doesn't hold positions that suck so badly. You need to give someone besides plutocrats, preachers and xenophobes a reason to vote Republican.

By the way, your fellow Republicans won't stand for any restriction of absentee ballots, as that's a big source of Republican votes-via-fraud.

so a incumbent Democrat wins re-election after only being President for four years so that means Republicans have to change..
Obama won by a very small number of votes yet the Republicans have to change...
this is LAUGHABLE you people believe the country has now turned totally Progressive so we should just give it up and come over to the dark side.

I think it's ludicrous to think you lost because they cheated.

You lost because even people like me couldn't vote Republican anymore, the party has gone so far off to the edge.

Like the Democrat party hasn't...

I covered these in a bunch of essays that got some attention, but here's what the GOP needs to do to come back.

1) Realize the Electoral College is not your friend, and move to replace it with the popular vote.
2) Change the tone on Racial politics... you can't win with just white people anymore.
3) Stop putting the needs of the rich over the needs of working people.
4) Stop renominating guys who lost in the past. If they sucked 4 years ago, they suck now.
5) Abortion is legal. Change the emphasis to offering alternatives instead of changing the law.
6) Gay Marriage is a loser issue. Drop the subject.
7) Stand up to Hate Radio and Fox News. The tail needs to stop wagging the dog.

We saw out in the open voter fraud in some places (not one Republican vote even though they have a Republican Representative in those districts) and the people just yawn as did our Representatives

the people doesn't seem to care anymore so why bother

The democrats aren't the issue here. We're talking winning strategies for the Right.

If the REPUBLICAN message is too weak to make a decent show of election night against what you correctly describe as an opposition party with serious issues of its own, perhaps a long and objective look in the mirror is in order.

Can you tell that I'm NOT terribly happy being a democrat with absolutely no choices?

VOTING MACHINES are a menace to democracy. That much is obvious

Like you Crus, I not longer have confidence in the electoral process.

I didn't have it when Bush II won, I didn't have it this round, either.

Personally I think this round the MASTERS choose for Obama to win.
I think I speak for the Masters, when I say......

You LOST!

:eusa_boohoo:

GET OVER IT!!

We saw out in the open voter fraud in some places (not one Republican vote even though they have a Republican Representative in those districts) and the people just yawn as did our Representatives

Because there wasn't any fraud.

Romney didn't get any votes in districts full of people he made no effort to appeal to. In fact, he went out of his way to insult those folks.

Progressives were able to take a legitimate issue, massive Voter fraud in Democrat controlled cities, and make it as if Republicans were the problem. They played it perfectly and because Republicans haven't figured out how and why we got played, we lost in 2012. Had the election been held in purple-fingered Baghdad, Romney would have won in a landslide.

So what can we do?

It's simple.

We don't want to appear that we're "Disenfranchising" minorities, we should embrace their participation in the democratic, but not Democratic process.

The problem is two-fold: Democrats stuff the ballot box, but then they do the counting.

We can control the stuffing process with Voter ID and a serious clamp down on absentee ballots (Blank checks), but more importantly, WE NEED TO OPEN THE COUNTING PROCESS TO BROAD DAYLIGHT!

Think of the show "Survivor" and Probst is counting ballots to see who is voted off the Island. When Dems control the count, thought the ballot says "Romney" Dems counted it as "Obama". We need to get the counting process out into the open. No more we will allow counts behind closed doors where boxes full of ballots magically appear in close races.

We can even mock the Democrat counting process as described above and that's our first step to ending the Party of Boss Tweed's stranglehold on vote counting which becomes voter fraud.

Some people will never understand you can't keep making welfare comfortable that will make people want to stay in the government supper table. Welfare is a safety net that a lot have made it into a Hammock.

.

I notice by the title of the thread that this is just Part One.

Since voter fraud is one of the smaller issues the GOP has before it, perhaps subsequent parts/threads will get more into topics that matter more, such as the party's horrific messaging, dealing with the simplistic absolutists who have so badly damaged the party's brand, and an examination of issues that should really just be dropped.

More of the same is suicide.

Good point.
We need to change on some of the social issues but the CORE of our beliefs, fiscal conservatism, will never change.
Until the Democrats ADMIT, they already know it but the only way they can get elected is to keep up the give aways to the moochers for their votes, that we have a SPENDING problem.
We know it and will never change that.

If the Republicans ever denounce Trickle Down Voodoo Economics and jettison pretty much their entire social agenda, I'll take a look to the right again at ballot time.

Until then, pass! :eusa_hand:

Reagan's started the greatest peace time expansion of the economy in history.
Which Clinton was able to ride, thanks to a GOP congress, for his whole 8 years.

Yeah, Skippy.....sure, Skippy.....that's what happened.

"Like most people in Washington, Clinton understood that Ronald Reagan was a figurehead and that it was really the Bush Cabal, which was running things for all of those 12 years. He also understood that the Bush Cabal had perpetrated the greatest fraud ever committed against the American people and that the Bush Cabal had essentially destroyed the economy of the United States - which in fact they had."

BTW, Skippy.....your second-sentence is incomplete.

If you can't learn English, go back to where-you-came-from. :eusa_snooty:

Romney lost because he sucked and the republican party sucked and their campaign organization sucked and Obama didn't suck as much and ran an awesomely good campaign.

Get over it and use the next couple of years to contemplate the shortcomings of your party and Hint: it was not because they were too moderate.

How much more moderate can a Republican be than Romney? A Republican more moderate than Romney would be a Democrat.

Yet Romney got hammered by Obama in the Moderate vote.

Romney may have looked moderate to those who think we should have $0 in tax increases for every $10 in spending cuts, but perhaps he didn't to the rest of the country.

Why would we denounce success? Because you wish to reinvent history? How about this, we will denounce the success of Reagan when you admit that whatever you call whatever it is Obama has done for 4 years has been a disaster.

Success?!? You arrived here sometime AFTER the fall of '08, eh?

With the defeat of Mitt, history will hopefully show that GWB hammered the last political nail in the coffin of Trickle-Down Economics when he and Karl crashed the economy.

Actually, it was a different TEXAN that crashed the economy.
