Since I don't know I'm going to ask...

Once a wind turbine and/or solar panel becomes unusable due to damage or being obsolete is it the property owner or company that is leasing the land responsibility to remove said equipment?

If it's the property owners responsibility I'm glad I'm not involved in this go green crap because I can just see the hazardous waste disposal costs being outrageous and just watch the price of metal at the junk yard bottom out to like a penny a ton. Then of course the state and the feds will become involved and tell the land owner to get rid of the crap or eat a big fine.

Just my thoughts on the matter since most the wind mills around this area are on land leased from the farmer and that farmer probably had dollar signs in his vision without thinking of the end costs.

Of course I might be being pessimistic so I'm asking...

Does anyone know?
