Post-Debate Hysteria : The Mudflats
So while Republican surrogates have at long last something to gloat about and left leaning pundits are having difficulty controlling their bodily functions on national television, it’s helpful to maintain a little perspective. Media outlets, regardless of their editorial bent, of course love this mass freakout because after months of boring “Mitt is imploding” narrative it’s nice to be able to report something different.
But when all the gloating is done and Chris Matthews has extinguished his hair, only one salient fact remains.
Mitt Romney has no credible path to 270 electoral votes, and the President has several.

At the end of the day, and it is the end of mine, my security blanket is reality. Its nice to wake up to the same one kept me warm all day
Only if you don't count the 3 minutes Willard spent interrupting Lehrer and the president. The lesson of the debate is the complete disrespect and lack of regard Willard had for the moderator, who he said he liked.
Just substitute the American people, 47% of whom he does not even like, for the moderator and you will get a taste of how the American people will be treated and listened to if Willard is elected. No matter how much the moderator tried to assert himself, Willard ignored him and ran roughshod over him time after time after time.
Only one problem with your analysis, Ed...Barack Obama spoke for a full three minutes more than Mitt Romney last night, droning on about topics to the point where Romney had to interject to get a rebuttal in. If he HADN'T then the disparity would have been even more pronounced.
Romney simply stood his ground against someone who was doing his best to monopolize the time available.

I am watching the repeat of the Presidential Debate. Sadly, President Obama is deferential and is not operating with fire in the belly. Being a Christian gentleman, he is not resorting to bullying the moderator like Mitt Romney who has literally hijacked the debate. I am seeing the Mitt Romney operating as the bully he was in boarding school. I hope the American people give the President points for all the work he is doing behind the scene to seek democracy and global peace. [His job as Commander-in-Chief is exhausting!] Romneys self-serving words about the poor and the middle-class fall on my unbelieving ears! Mr. Obamas words are well-chosen, but, he is not confronting Romney with them. He refuses to get passionate (angry). I have respected Jim Lehrer for decades. I hope he realizes that he owes Barack Obama a personal apology for the poor job of moderating the debate. He, too, should have responded with firmness or anger when the millionaire and ex-CEO started talking over him and assuming control of the conversation.
Romney definitely bullied the moderator. He'll likely try the same bullying tactics in the next two debates; however, I doubt Candy Crowley and Bob Schieffer will allow him to get away with it.

What is amusing is that Lahoota only quotes from op-Ed pieces, no original thought. No real opinion, no analysis of what she saw. Lets everyone think for her.
You'd think she'd learn how silly it is, it hasn't worked for Obama.
