Inquiring minds want to know?

You do realize that you can't blame an inanimate object for doing something, right?

Are you saying Wayne is an inanimate object?

Don't forget to take the poll!!

Forgive me. I assumed you actually read what you were posting.

when you blame guns, your blaming an inanimate object. A gun is not responsible for what people use it for.

Chances are he wasn't invited and might face arrest if he tried to enter the meeting. Why won't gun runner Eric Holder answer questions by a congressional committee about Fast/Furious? He is a coward? He doesn't have to because the liberal media is in his back pocket? Barry Oblama will issue a presidential decree to protect him? All of the above?

Because Obama is a Gun Grabbing Lunatic?

Plus, you really think you HAVE to go just because "King Obama" summons you?

Unfortunately, the poll only offered idiotic choices, but I agree with you. Obama does not want to sincerely discuss this issue. It's all for show so he can claim he invited everyone to the table, but the LaPierre would be smart not to play along with the farce. He'd probably have some people gang up on him and try to make him look like a whacko.

Obama is having representatives from all sides of the gun issue to have a discussion.
The NRA is a massive lobbyist and the face of the pro-gun crowd.
For LaPierre to run and hide like a bitch really shows what cowards they are,...

Oh puheeze. Anyone who believes that was born yesterday. Obama wouldn't give anyone who defends the 2nd Amendment the time of day if he thought it wouldn't hurt his gun control agenda.

Obama will use the opportunity to vilify the people attending. It's guaranteed. He'll also use it to claim that all the 2nd Amendment groups who attended had "input into the process." Then he'll ignore whatever they said and do whatever he can get away with.

It's all a huge con, just like everything Obama puts over on the American public.

[X] None of the above.

The Sandy Hook shooting was a PR nightmare for the NRA and its supporting companies who make survival / assualt weapons. So LaPierre and his top people, along with PR/marketing reps from gun makers who rely on NRA to handle these nightmares, go into emergency meetings, and brainstorm damage control strategies. Once carefully crafted and considered, maybe a week later to let it settle a bit, you go out with the message, and make sure everyone is on the same page, and in a tight box (say this; and only this). Create some confusion, then get the fuck out. Go dark, and let it die a natural death, which it will, when public and news org interest diminishes, as it quickly does.

Saying anything now, would stir the debate, and add life to the PR nightmare. So work behind the scenes, shoring up Congressional opposition to legislation. Money to key committee chairs, and the faithful who the NRA already owns on Capitol Hill. Get freindly news organizations publishing more stories about how control measures are counter-productive, etc.

It's how it's done, in the association management game.

So that's how Democrats and the left-wing lobbying groups do it?

Was he invited?

still havent seen a clear answer on that one

I doubt you ever will and yet it's such a simple question however I will offer a reason as to why he would not have gone if in fact he was invited. it would be a waste of time given this administration has made very clear it has no real interest in listening to or considering views and opinions that are not in line with it's own.

Here is a interesting observation the Obama administration and the Democrats want a ban on assault rifles but when you ask them what about the rifles already out there they don't really have a answer for that and every time they talk about a ban or in today's case Obama using executive powers the sale of these weapons skyrockets and they put even more of the weapons that they want to get out of circulation but don't know how to into circulation. Anyone else notice this?

Obama has always reached across the isle and has been very pro 2nd amendment rights. He has attempted to pass absoutly nothing to infringe on it.

Obama is doing what a true leader does, it's time to have that conversation on how to approach the gun issue and hearing from all sides is what any adult does.

Only a couple democrats are calling for re-instating the assault weapons ban but most do not, nor does the president.

All signs are pointing towards strengthening background checks especially with mental health concerns.
