Why are so many Obama appointees quitting?

    It happens at the beginning of nearly every second term. It's nothing new and not indicative of anything other than that people grow weary in those jobs or are following the historical pattern of offering their resignations to allow the President to change focus or priorities. It's considered a courtesy to do so.

    For instance, 10 cabinet level officers resigned between the election and the beginning of G.W. Bush's second term.
