Why Wont GOP Replace The ACA?

I disagree. Single payer ends the argument. Let's learn from our neighbors.

The last thing I want is Trump's goons in charge of single payer. I want them in charge of as little as possible.

Yeah. They are not in charge. We are. We only need to worry about them if we can't work together. That is how they like it, you know. Universal health care is the right thing to do. Arguing about it only weakens our cause.

Are you in the market for a bridge, perhaps?

Nope. Just accountability.

WTF??

That's right.

If they repeal it, that is a replacement. It goes back to the way it was before the debacle called Obamacare. Worked for me just fine.

You morons claimed the GOP was already the minority party. Last time I looked, the GOP has the White House and both houses of Congress.

Man....are you ever gonna be frustrated with what they actually do.

Are you ever going to learn what the word majority means? Are you ever going to expect people to be responsible for providing to themselves what they should be providing to themselves?

Majority? As in congress? That's the point. You have it...and you WILL NOT see things go back to the way they were. In fact, the ACA will remain. It will just be called something else.

Not entirely. They'll strip out the things the insurance industry doesn't like. Maybe throw a bone to the religious right and remove abortion benefits. That's the thing you can't seem to understand. This is exactly why it's stupid to put government in charge of something as personal as health care. If we do, every election will be a life or death vote for some.

As a Liberal piece of shit, tell us why we should be surprised.

I believe in single payer. You pay yours and anyone else you're willing to fund and I'll pay mine. Let's learn some personal responsibility and socialism isn't it.

I'm not the one that support the type single payer you support. I'm not the one that thinks giving someone something they're unwilling to provide themselves is an incentive for them to do better. I'm not the one that think someone wanting to keep what they earned is selfish but the person that didn't earning it having a portion of it isn't. That's you.

Why are you opposed to people being personally responsible for themselves?

Not to worry there, guys. Single Payer will happen and you will all be part of it.

So you are opposed to personal responsibility. At least you finally admitted it.

You talk about matters beyond your ken. I believe in American national security and the welfare of all Americans, and you think it is only about you. You are wrong.

You are a goof ball. I believe in American national security and the welfare of all Americans, and you think it is only about you. You are wrong.

I believe in personal responsibility. You've proven you don't.

Are you willing to tell me that those freeloaders living off the hard work of other forced to support those pieces of shit give a shit about those of us forced to fund it? If you do, you're a fool. You have a problem if I put myself first with what I earned but you have no problem with someone that didn't earn it putting themselves first. You have things confused. I can't be selfish because I'm only wanting to keep what I earned.

You make silly assumptions. Single Payer will happen, whether you like it or not. And it will make your coverage cheaper, more available, and of better quality. You may be dragged along screaming, but you will be coming along.

The hard right were told that government health insurance is not going away regardless of what they were told by the lying candidate.

Aetna, UnitedHealth and Humana began to leave the exchanges last summer. Doctors (in states where they are not required to accept all insurance) are opting out in significant numbers. In order to comply with the 80/20 rule, there's been a wave of insurance company mergers, decreasing competition.
Millions of formerly uninsured Americans now get subsidized plans, albeit crappy plans. But there is no control of escalating costs.

This whole law is unsustainable and has led to too many unintended consequences. It could be allowed to die of its own fatal flaws, but the Republicans campaigned on replacing it. I have no confidence that the replacement will be any better than the ACA, and will probably lead to more squabbling.
