1. Since the dawn of politics, men have envisioned some global authority that would bring peace and harmony….Utopia. During the Enlightenment, Immanuel Kant argued in favor of a “united power and law-governed decisions of a united will” to create “perpetual peace.”
Cosmopolitan citizenship and postmodernity

2. Einstein wrote in “Toward a World Government,” “A world government must be created which is able to solve conflicts between nations by judicial decision. This government must be based on a clear-cut constitution which is approved by the governments and nations and which gives it the sole disposition of offensive weapons.” peace | Today in History

3. ‘Global governance, the idea of all humankind united under one common political authority, has not existed so far in all of human history. This is not to say that it hasn’t been debated, called for, fought for…and as recently as the 20th century, enforced on large swaths of the planet….called communism.

a. Imaginary, not only unproven, but data is available documenting the deleterious effects. Totalitarianism, responsible for over 100 million dead. How to explain its endorsement by the Western elites? Simple: it is a religious belief.

b. It is largely based on a tragic misunderstanding of human nature, and the Left’s inability to confront, or even recognize, evil.

4. The religion of Leftism has its search for Utopia… on Earth…and two famous statements encapsulate the search:

a. There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not ? Attributed to Robert Kennedy.

b. The other is from the words of John Lennon’s song, “Imagine.” One is asked to imagine that there is no heaven or hell, that everyone lives for today; that there are no countries, nothing to kill for, and no religion; there are no possessions- therefore no greed nor hunger.

5. Conservatives don’t dream of things that never were nearly so much as Liberals do. We usually dream the same dream that our forefathers did: an America that is identified by the “American Trinity” of “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” and “E Pluribus Unum.” And, judging by history, we have seen that ‘utopian dreams’ are more likely to end up as nightmares.
Prager, “Still The Best Hope,” chapter two.

6. The current permutation of global domination is on the march once again. A prominent spokesman, Strobe Talbot, current president of the Brookings Institution, and a former deputy secretary of state, he refers to nations as artificial and temporary. Speaking of nations, he quotes Julian Huxley: “ a society united by a common error as to its origin and a common aversion to its neighbors.”

7. Yet the Leftist acolytes never notice how their critiques apply to their ideas. Global governance is the grossest of errors: a belief that the wishes and needs of all can fit under one rubric…and the aversion to the concept of self-rule.

a. Lord Acton: “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupt absolutely.” Our Founders, in their brilliance, incorporated this idea in the Constitution, with checks and balances, and separation of powers. World government emphasizes the potential power and oppressiveness of a global political authority, and inescapable tyranny. Nations giving up sovereignty abolishes the prime check on the power of other nations.

Why global governance?
“Some ideas are so stupid, only an intellectual could believe them.” George Orwell

The quote I believe was from Sen. Ted Kennedy's eulogy of his brother Robert.

Not bad, but not realistic either. Of course heaven and hell are constructs and poets need not be held accountable for the world as it is; it is people who don't dream and live in fear of those who do who are responsible for horrific acts of murder and logic.

You may dream of such, most people on this earth dream of clean water, clean air and enough food to survive, shelter from the weather and a better life for their kids.

Once one notes the 'I don't like you' tone, it becomes evident that you have no response to the content of the OP.

OK, Miniver Cheevy...duly noted.
Have another drink.
