Why support Republicans?

If you believe is less Government,Capitalism and freedom, you vote for Repubs.
If you believe in big huge government, anti capitalism and no freedom you vote for Dems.

Recent history has proven that both parties believe in big huge government, corporate cronyism and will try and take our rights away. Both parties are tax and spend. The difference is where they spend.

The Repubs did and got fired in 2008 for being that way.
When re elected in 2011 they have good bills that have been passed, but sit there in the Senate on Sen. Reid's desk.

Yes I call it that because that's what it was.

The state of Wisconsin stopped contributing to pensions and retirement plans for its workers. But, that money still has to get contributed from somewhere, so it's taken from the person's check and deposited. Therefore, less money on your check and less money to spend.

Ergo, pay cut.

Bullshit there sparky. Your benefits are considered to be part of your pay package.

I guess it does kinda suck when you actually have to contribute to YOUR own benefit package.

Guess you could call it a pay cut but since your money is going to your benefit package to benefit you when you retire it seems rather silly to call it a pay cut.

As I said. Whatever floats your boat.

Except, it's not bull shit.

Prior to Walker, a teacher starting in WI would get $27,458 in compensation, broken down as follows:

$25,000 in paychecks annually
$1,450 in pension contributions annually
$1,008 in insurance premiums annually

After Walker, the state stopped paying premiums and pension, so the teacher must do it, and must do it from her paycheck. This is automatic. So now she gets:

$22,542 in paychecks annually
$1,450 in pension contributions annually
$1,008 in insurance premiums annually

What number dropped? Her paychecks. It dropped 9%.

She received a 9% pay cut.

That have made it their goal to do whatever they can to undermine Obama. And they admit it. Mitch McConnel said so, "the number one goal is to make sure Obama is a one term president". The Republicans took ACA to supreme court and lost. They won't take no for an answer. Now they're conspiring to kill it and also on state levels by having bills in congress to overturn it in the House even though they know it has no chance of passing in Senate. They would destroy the country to get their way. They exhibited this intention during the debt crisis. Similar to Newt Gangrene during Clinton presidency.

Republicans act like little children who, if they don't get their way, will throw tantrums or take the baseball out of the game and go home. So, the question is, specifically, what has a republican ever done to make your life better?

Oh, by the way. How is the stock market doing now, compared to when Bush left? You think it would be doing so well if Obama were a socialist, which he's not?
Of course the goal is to make Obama a one-termer, duh!
We don't believe in nanny state entitlement programs like Obamacare/Obamatax, so naturally our goal is to kick his ass out of the white house.
This is a surprise to you ?
We want to limit the damage as much as possible, so we are pulling all the stops out so he doesn't get an aditional four years to fuck things up further!

Seems to me that you do not appreciate HONESTY in a politician.

What Mitch O'Connell said about Republican ambition to make Obama a one-term President was a breath of fresh air in HONESTY.

The ambition of any party, any time, anywhere is to make the office of the winning opposition a one-term office. However, due to mind-boggling overdose of hypocrisy, none of them - until Mitch O'Connell - had the honesty and integrity to say so.

You also seem to forget that Democrats wanted to make George W. Bush a NO-TERM President, trying to pull all kinds of nefarious tricks in Florida in 2000.

Private sector employees being screwed is not the issue.

The issue is that Walker cut the pay of public sector workers. He did this instead of borrowing money to meet payroll. Democratic politicians typically do not do that. They tend to keep pay at least flat while borrowing to meet those obligations.

For sure, and in fact to this day they still want Bush prosecuted four years later.

I like how you ignore the fact McConnell said this BEFORE Obamacare was passed.

True, but we "hated" Bush only after he did something terrible. You guys hated Obama the day he set foot in the White House.

Barrow money to pay a debt the most stupidest and irresponsible thing I have ever heard someone say.

Obama and the Dems have an opportunity here. I'm not certain they will take advantage of it though. They really need to drive home the point of how the Republicans have stood in the way of every single thing they have tried to do. Voting 33 times to repeal the ACA completely is nothing more than complete stupidity. Voters need to know this and again, it must be driven home over and over again. The Dems have an opportunity no only to re-elect Obama, but to take back control of the House and increase their lead in the Senate, but they need to stand together and continue pointing out how the Republicans have helped to keep this economy from moving forward.
