1. The polls. Obama's maintained a consistent lead over Romney, on average, since - well, since they started keeping track of it it.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - General Election: Romney vs. Obama

2. The electoral college. If you consider WI and Penn blue states - which I think is fair - Obama is within a FL-sized margin of victory. In other words, he could lose NM, Nev, Iowa, NH, Ohio, Colorado, NC, and Virginia, and still win. Romney needs to to hit a hard eight. He needs to nearly sweep the swing states to win.

3. Romney's Etch-A-Sketch problem. Who is Romney besides a rich guy with good hair who really wants to be president? What does he stand for?

4. The economy. The economy's going to continue to improve and the one issue Republicans had pinned their hopes on will become less and less important. When Republicans are the only ones trash-talking the economy, people will see what they're doing for what it is.

Most people don't know Romney yet.

He's about 8 billion times a better campaigner than McCain so when the debates are done Obama's going to look like something the cops pulled out of Hannibal Lecter's basement

November is a long way from now, the economy is sketchy, Romney is gaining steam, and Romney will clean Barak up in the debates.

Despite democrat's claim that the economy is improving, people really do know when they are doing better and they aren't doing better.

Like it or not, the numbers really don't favor obama.

Some jokes actually write themselves. :lmao:

If Romney does a "McCain" - then he will surely lose.

He needs to tow a fine line between being bulldog and dirty.

And pick a compelling VP running mate.

If Mr. Soetoro puts $50 on BOTH black, and red on a Roulette table "maybe" he's got a chance.

But they know enough about Obama, now. He's toast, baring something unforeseen.

Any imcumbant president should have about a 75% chance of re-election to a 2nd term.

Even average to poor ones.

Doesnt speak to Obamas greatnesss.

Romney also lost to McCain.

McCain was a better candidate than Romney.

Far better.

McCain was a hero in the Vietnam war. Romney protested to send other people to fight the war..then went to France to spread Mormonism.

McCain remained fairly consistent about his stances on issues, Romney shifts to whatever stance his audience wants to hear. He is fairly consistent about rich folks though. Corporations are people my friend.

Romney's weirdo religion seeks to capture the souls of the dead from other religions. Romney's failed to speak out about that..even though such Jewish notables as Elie Wiesel has complained.

Romney maintains offshore accounts and is fairly secretive about his personal finances.

His debating style is odd..and he's given to unusual behavior..such as making bets with opposing candidates..and flubs about illegal alien hires.

He's been caught hitting up the government for cash for his causes, like the Olympics..or Bain.

Not really a good start.
