That makes sense to you? The God of Israel, YHWH killing himself because he supposedly can't forgive? If someone doesn't believe this, this same God, who killed himself/his son (????????) will damned them to hell, forever. That's what the vast majority of Protestant Christians believe. Most Christians believe that non-Christians are damned.I would have to look at the specific Gospel passages you are referencing. In Jesus' day, people were offering sacrifices for forgiveness of sins. Cereal, birds, lambs, calves...but were any of them the perfect sacrifice? The perfect sacrifice would be one without sin, the one always is accord with the will of the Father. Jesus is known as the final sacrifice because he was also the perfect sacrifice. We point to Jesus as our sacrifice and what is amazing about Jesus as sacrifice is that God himself became the sacrifice for his children. What good parent wouldn't (and doesn't) sacrifice him/herself for their children? God is a great Father.
Through disobedience we were lost; through obedience we were redeemed.
This god that you worship, according to Romans 9, predestines people to hell for all eternity and if someone complains they're told "Who do you think you are to complain to God, about him predetermining people to go to hell forever? God, the potter, can do whatever he wants to the clay, MIGHT MAKES RIGHT...", that's the god Christianity worships, according to Paul. A god that predestined most of humanity to hell.
That's not God, that's an evil demon. Why would you worship a god like that?
