My nephew graduated from Texam A&M and currently serves as a Lt. in the US Army; his parents (my in-laws) and his wife's parents are conservative evangelicals. My nephew and his wife confided in us (my wife and me) that upon his seperation that want to move to the Bay Area.

A huge influx of capital, both from the government and private investors in at least three national projects: Rebuilding the electrical grid; building inter and intra urban railroads and canals for the transport of goods, recreation and flood control; and the building of health care centers in each congressional district across America providing preventative medicine and health care education.
Image the possibilities, jobs for decades, less dependence on foreign oil, and a healthier happier citizenry. The opposite of hate and fear, the only other policy the Republican Party seems to have.

Another lib-tard that hasn't been paying any attention: You know your party--Barack Obama--Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid had the opportunity to change the electric grid in this country--(btw) not rebuild it--we already have one--LOL. So 11 billion in the so-called 787 billion dollar stimulus bill was dedicated to changing the electric grid--when all experts in the field stated they needed at least 111 BILLION to complete.

Instead--we have watched billions of dollars being wasted by this administration and congress. Pork--earmarks--political paybacks and even bonuses paid to AIG//Fannie//Freddie executives that all brought this economy to it's knees.

It's the democrat policies that have crashed this economy and it has been proven time and time again. Where to begin. I don't 'do' LSD, never did. Yet, I was born and raised in the shadow of Kezan which is not far from the Haight-Ashbury. I was 19 during the "Summer of Love" (1968) and on active duty with the US Navy. I'd already completed my first two years at UC Berkely, having graduated from a SF High School in June 1965.
Upon seperation from active service I completed my BA in Poli Sci at UC and eraned an MA at San Francisco St. University. I went to work as a "law enforcement" officer, after earning my BA, and spent the next 30+ years as a deputy, supervisor, manager and commander, retiring in Dececmber 2005.
Daveman may laugh all he wants, and oddude and the others have the right to call me an idiot. I refrain from ad hominem attacks, but for the moment want each of those who suggest I'm an idiot to ponder for a moment their accomplishments.

In 5 months, I'll have 20 years active duty in the US Air Force.
