IMHO, the chance of political debate changing the opinion of the undecided, particularly in a political forum is rather remote because the undecided are not undecided because of lack of information or opinion. They're undecided because they aren't interested and they're not going to listen to debate and propaganda on the issue. What political debate does do, is strength the resolve of those who have made a decision and often increase hostility. In the workplace, that can be disastrous.
