Joe Biden is failing, both personally and politically, yet the DNC strives to keep him alive as a presidential candidate. Why is this?
The answer may be that, as long as he remains a "political opponent" of President Trump, there is a basis for arguing that any investigation of the corruption that was going on in the Ukraine is politically motivated and should be discredited.
This phony argument will lose credibility if Biden drops out of the race and is no longer a presidential candidate, so it is imperative that he remain in the race at least until the Democrat convention. After that, any investigation will be labeled as a dirty election trick by the Republicans.
