Why do dems support socialist dictator Raul Castro telling our president what to do?

We have diplomatic relations with about every communist country in the world. So why not Cuba? If we can be a tourist in China, why not a tourist in Cuba?

I think the whole Cuba thing is a cold war relict, and we have this national memory of a time when a people chose their dictator over our dictator, and we really don't even know why that pisses us off anymore.

We're pissed off because obozo is gonna let cuba dump millions of its welfare bums on america just like carter allowed 40 years ago.

This will help cuba but how does it help america?? Obozo is gonna let cuba dump its welfare bums on america like he's doing with the rest of latin america.

The question is, how does the old status quo help America? Focusing only on immigration is a very narrow view of the situation. We've been limiting ourselves from this avenue of commerce for half a century. Aren't these the sort of diplomatic relations that have slowly opened up China from an insular Communist nation into a more capitalistic one? Or don't you believe in the free market?

Obama bowing to his Communist Elder brother
he is not bowing Frank....the guy is only 5'4......

Had a Republican president made this decision, the Conservatives would be crowing about how Communism falls under Republican administrations, just as eastern Europe was liberated from Communism during the George H.W. Bush administration.

But the modern American Conservative is so blinded by partisan rage, even this accomplishment is suspect.

I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot, would Conservatives be proud that one of their own finally cracked the shell of Cuba, or is it a bad thing that a Democrat managed to do it?

The whines and bitches of the old Cold Warrior Conservatives are one thing, but the contemporary Conservative can't see beyond their disdain for President Obama.
