why Bernie is better than all future Democrat presidential hopefuls: he believes if you want to help people, you put money directly in their pockets

medicare for all and social security have overwhelming support because everybody pays and everybody benefits, unlike targeted programs that favor only the poor

Sounds good. But it is expensive. Do you live in the big blue aging cities? Those costs give the ghettos all of the free medical. A working schlepper above the poverty line will be charged for city provided medical transport and if extra services are needed may bankrupt him without paying massive increases in insurance. This has not decreased over the years and decades. This is increasing. Just one example.

Medicare will be bankrupt in 2 years. That will be a major brawl next year. If the GOP lets it die they are done.

The GOP should have told the dems to fix it this year.

Group medical insurance that cost $400 a month for a single worker in 2014 runs more than $1,600 today.

Typically an employer pays 75% of the cost of coverage, so workers have seen their share go from $100 to $400 per month. The VAST majority of non-government workers on this board are paying $200 or more per paycheck for health care coverage. That's not Bidenflation, that's Obamacare. The only ones who actually benefitted were Kaiser, Blue Cross, and the other care conglomerates - who funded the ads for Obamacare and still fund the propaganda selling it to an ignorant populace.

Now if you work for government, your costs haven't gone up at all, taxpayers foot the bill for you. That's cooked into fascist care.
