Who's old enough to remember this song?

I can't count on three hands the times I tripped on acid back in the 60's while listening to this song. It's funny how listening to it while drunk on vodka gives it a whole different slant.


Cool song. I always heard he was so drunk when cutting it, it was the reason In the garden of Eden became In-a-Godda-Da-Vidda. Certain was not too drunk to sing or play there on the video, but the name might have been set by then.
 
I thought it was okay when I first heard it, but a friend of ours obsessed over it and played it over and over and over so many times on his 8 track we grew to loathe it intensely.
 
I thought it was just Buddhist cult crap or other. Hippies were running around spouting all kinds of dumbassery in those days.
 
I certainly remember it, but I wasn't dropping acid quite yet.

My acid song of choice was Starship Trooper by Yes which came out a few years later.
