Republicans on another thread were saying Obama is callous for not negotiating with terrorists.

Course, they believe Obama is all things to all people. Weak, a strongman, a dictator, a king, and so on.

But who is more callous?

Unemployment benefits: not until Bush tax cuts pass, Senate GOP says - CSMonitor.com

The inaction means the imminent loss of unemployment compensation for some 800,000 out-of-work Americans, with nearly 2 million long-term unemployed expected to be affected by Jan. 1, according to the Labor Department.

US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, speaking Wednesday at a press conference organized by Democratic congressional leaders, said that by next spring, another 6 million unemployed workers will lose benefits if Congress does not act. “Millions of families are going to struggle to put food on the table or put gas in the gas tank,” she said.

Senator Reed objected, noting that the Republican plan to permanently extend the Bush tax cuts gives the wealthiest Americans a $700 billion tax cut that is also not offset – and, unlike the employment benefit, would not expire.

Republicans get mad at being portrayed as mean spirited and petty people who only want others to suffer. But seriously, name some or even 1 policy that has helped people in the last 15 years. Seems the only one they can name is Bush's, "Stop Africans from having sex" debacle. Just the fact that they refused to give out condoms or explain how condoms protect against AIDS and they probably helped more people GET AIDS then fight it's spread.

In fact, when Obama extended the Bush tax cuts, it was because he was concerned about people, not because he was callous. The GOP on the other hand.....

Hey, prove me to be wrong. How are those GOP policies working out?

Clearly Obama is much more callous. He supports pro-abortion. He targeted and murdered American citizens especially a 16 year old boy. Nothing that the Republicans have done rises to that level of callousness. But I think it is more then just that, I don't really think Obama gives a shit.

Unemployment and food stamps: the drivers of the Obama economy

The only thing these days that lower unemployment is a good education. Republicans don't believe in education. That's why they go to Blue States to try to lure workers to their states. If the GOP base could learn, they would know to invest in their own people. Instead, they try to chase away immigrants who go there to do jobs Republicans will never be qualified for.

Come on. You know that's the truth.

There are millions of these kinds of links. They are there for a reason.
